What are NQF, QCF and SCQF?
The NQF or the National Qualifications Framework is the old qualification framework of the UK which has been replaced by the Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF). They are credit transfer systems which recognise qualifications by awarding credits, and hence, determine the level of the student. The SCQF, which is the Scottish Qualifications Framework, follows the same system, only it has 12 rather than the 8 levels that the QCF has.
