My daughter has taken admission here in the year of 2020 and from our point of view, the college infrastructure is way above average. They've got well planned classrooms, labs, libraries and sports centres. We've heard that the hostels are well enough too. The campus is neat and clean, and the meals offered by the canteen are also good.
She's doing her Bachelor's in Statistics and the faculty is good enough. Their curriculum is more updated as compared to other govt colleges, and the professors are well aware of students' difficulties and prepare them thoroughly for interviews, internships and further studies.
Don't know much about placements about any branches yet, but will definitely update if we get to know about it. As for the statistics department the placements received are around three to five or six lpa.
The fees increase with further semesters, it starts around 38k for the first year. It's satisfactory for the fact that a student will be getting good facilities and we feel it's worth it.
The location is pretty good, with the Newtown Coffee House just in front of their college, a good hangout place to start with. Their are many hospitals in the nearby areas. The campus itself is very clean and beautiful and most of the time students can be found engaged in various co-curricular activities. The staff is mostly friendly and cooperative. Grand fests occur every year and students are encouraged to participate actively in various disciplines.
Yes, my college have all the necessary infrastructure ,, facilities and equipment. Our whole campus in connected to wifi , all classrooms has huge smart board . Yes, evrything is well maintained. This is my one of the reason behind i wanted to come here and now i have chosen it also.
I am studying LLB law because i have a great interest in the Indian constitution and the quality of teaching is awesome afterall they are little bit strict. Yes, your curriculum are well updated and includes all the recent developments in the field. Yes the study make me job ready.
Placements are outstanding in our college. Salary is depend upon in what position you have been!! Yes college is very supportive in terms of placements. Majority of students get their interested jobs and that's the one reason why i entered here.
Yes, i see my money's worth everything is well mannered, discplined and high above my expectations.
Our campus is very huge and it has many activites involved in which student can do man y things like singing ,dancing and other more creativity . Yes teachers students and all staffs members are very friendly. Seniors are quite good .
Our college is one of the best college in our state.
Beautiful campus. Well known around the globe for it's campus. All kind of facilities are available. Huge library with books ofnall kinds. Big Auditorium. 110 acres total covering of the campus. Cafeteria available.
Currently pursuing statistics honours. Professors are upto the mark teaching strictly according to the iitjam and isi mstat syllabus. Plus point is availability of fbl language and business communication language making students job ready.
Since I'm new, I don't know much about college placements. I've been through the brochure and MNC companies comes to our college. Placements record is getting better with every passing year. To name a few Walmart and Amazon.
A bit expensive but worth it. Infrastructure, library, campus, faculty and placement wise. Scholarships are also available for merit students. Making students ready for corporate sector with the time schedule as 9 to 5.
I've not yet been to campus but been in college groups. Gender ratio is well maintained. Plenty of clubs available Ranging from debate to sports, dance to entrepreneurship. Supportive faculty. A bit far from the city but then the beautiful campus is worth to visit.
Amity University Kolkata is one of the best college regarding infrastructure, facilities and equipments.Better classrooms with good conditioning ,big auditorium ,huge library , different sports centres with good hostel facility.
I pursued Bsc Statistics honours because I am interested in research works.Although being online classes teachers are putting their best foot forward to make us understand each and every topics with good concepts.
Now I'm in first year .So I don't have much idea about placement. Anyways I heard from seniors that placement is quite good . Different big companies comes to the college and hier Students for placements.
Yes the college is quite expensive .My course cost almost 2 lakhs. But the good thing is that college also provided scholarship's to the deserving students who scores well in semester examinations to 50%-100% .
Campus life ...is so good .In these college all faculty members and very helpful and supportive.Their way of teaching is also quite good and enjoyable.they help us lot in making our doubts all cleared.
Till now we havent spent a lot in the college due to pandemic. Just had gone to the college once during the admissions, so seeing the campus was great. We witnessed the library, the hall, labs, cafeteria etc. It has a great campus there.
I am pursuing Bsc Stats hons from this college. Am currently in my first year. I must say that the faculty of the college is too good and supportive. They cooperate with us and take our problems seriously. But there has been a problem with the syllabus set up of the course. Actually it wasnt the way it should be. Even the faculty accepted that those chapters shouldnt be in the 1st year of the course. But apart from that if we look the overall curriculum ir focuses on all round development.
The placements as heard from our seniors, though we havent seen one yet is that they offer a quite good placement. Companies like cipla, asian paints, etc came in. The interviews were strict as college had no involvement in that but yes mostly 70 to 80 percent students got placed among the ones who did not decide to continue with further studies. Avg placement was of about 4 - 4.5 lacs.
Till now I believe the college to be a bit on the expensive side. My course fee is 2.4 lacs for three years donation where we have spent mostly our 1st year on an online mode.
Till now has visited college campus just for once but yes our seniors have told that amity has got one of the best campus in kolkata. It has a pretty sound atmosphere and a ragging free campus. Teachers are quite helpful and yes amity is always known for its fests that it helds. They are quite interesting and grand.
Yes, our college has all the necessary infrastructure, facilities and equipment making it convenient for the students to adhere to their specific courses. Amity University Kolkata has adequate facilities like projectors in classrooms along with AC and wifi. It also have Mac equipped computer laboratories. It also has dedicated laboratories for science department. yes, they are well maintained and the dood is hygienic. Amity follows green principle so it does not
I am studying Bachelors in Tourism Administration because I always to pursue a professional course. The teaching along with discipline is very lenient and the faculties are very knowledgeable. In my opinion, i do think that the curriculum is updated since it does not follows the rat race and it gives us the insight of the 2nd largest industry in the world. We have internship and placement cell which makes us job ready.
Placement: Till now, the quality of placement is good although it aims for students with higher cgps. Almost all the students with cgps more that 7 has been given a placement. They have been placed to different sectors related to tourism. Average salary varies from 15k to 20k approx. There are lot many rounds of interview. If one is well equipped with necessary information, he or she will crack it with ease. College has always been supportive
85k We are yet to see the results. Though our seniors have got passed out with flying colors of opportunities.
The campus is very big and greenery. There is no bad features as such to be mentioned. Students can engage in outdoor and indoor activities. We have many events lined up one by one and we are always encouraged to freely participate. The students, teachers and staffs are very good. It is situated in rajarhat, newtown. It is safe and it has good first aid rooms to handle emergency.
the college has necessary infrastructure except the facilities provided doesn't work sometimes like AC or smart boards. sometimes there's impurities in food but other times it's quite well. hostels were nice and pretty but sometimes had issues but that's okay i guess. i moved out after first year.
it was good. i was studying english literature. professors were really cool and knowledgeable. they didn't go just by the syllabus but taught us different things too which were important and mind blowing
i don't know because i didn't go for it. i left after graduation to pursue my other interests. review ends here. i don't know what to write for next 50 words so I'll keep on going to reach the limit of minimum characters.
it's kinda expensive
infrastructure and ambience is nice.
no
Amity University has one of the best modern infrastructure in West Bengal. The campus has centralised air-conditioner, and wifi facility is available for all the students(2 devices per student). It has 3 canteens and it has toilets on every floor and a medical facility is also available. The Classrooms and spacious and well maintained. Every class has a smartboard. The Library is very clean and calm which is perfect for a study environment. The food in the cafeterias is good and very hygienic.
I Am currently enrolled in Bachelors in Travel and Tourism Administration because I want to learn about the industry so in the later years I can open up My own travel Agency. The method of teaching in the college is very good and all the information is up to date and relevant. We have to wear professional clothing to the college (Uniforms) and Our department focuses on proper grooming in order to make us ready for the future. Our department is focused on making us ready to face the World.
Amity University Kolkata is very helpful in placements and our seniors have been placed in good companies with salary packages starting from 20k to about 40k per month. Students with a GPA of 6 and above are eligible for placements. The placement process is simple but it depends on the students to do well in the interviews.
My Course costs about 1 Lakh per year. Considering all the facilities that Amity University Kolkata has , I feel like I'm getting my money's worth. The infrastructure , the faculty and the placements are all good.
Amity has its annual college fest called 'Amiphoria'. During this fest students from other colleges are invited to compete against each other in various activities. And during these fest Popular music bands and celebrities come to visit and perform. Its overall a fun experience. Our campus is located in New Town Kolkata which is a well planned town. It's location is very convenient. The Only bad thing about our campus is that it doesn't have ATM Facility.
It is overall a good University but I also feel like there is a lot of extra and irrelevant subjects which not related to our course but they are beneficial to us for our day to day activities. I'm part of the football team and the college doesn't sponsor most of our matches. Expenses for travelling and food comes out of our own pocket.
Amity has a great infrastructure for both the students and for the faculties as well. It is completly air conditioned with a sports building, three cafeterias and a huge auditorium. It also has the facility of hostel
It has different departments with the best faculties. Amity has a lot of facilities for the students. For each course, they have 8-9 subjects which is not right. They also provide the students with a chance of learning foreign business language
The placement cell of Amity is on the average side. Sometimes they fail to provide a good placement. They don't have much options for placing their students in renowned companies. Placement cell needs to be more strong.
Cost for each course per year is a bit on the expensive side but then they provide us with all the facilities which a student needs to be in. Amity also has the scholarship programme with various percentage.
Campus life in Amity is great. The staffs, the faculties everything about it, is great. Amity is very much disciplined and punctual regarding their class hours and academics. It celebrates different festivals with the students.
The college has a great infrastructure. It is equipped with state of the art facilities. It is centrally air conditioned. Projectors are installed and it has a big auditorium. There is also a new sports complex.
The faculties are amazing. They are very approachable and are available for help outside the institution too. The curriculum is well prepared and helps us to transition easily from a student to a professional.
The placements hadn't been great, particularly for my field of studies. But generally there are great with both national and international companies showing interest in the students. The college is fairly supportive in terms of placements.
The courses are fairly expensive. Each semester for MA English costs about 39000. It is worth the money though. The exposure that we get is crucial. Seminars and conferences hosted are also very helpful for us.
Campus life is great. Lots of open spaces, ragging free campus and a knack for developing minds are the key to this institution. Different events are organized that helps us to gain exposure and test ourselves in front of the outside world.
Dear aspirant,
The careers opportunities at Amity University can be good, but they largely depend on the campus, course, your skills, and how actively you engage during your studies . Since you have not mention which Amity campus you are referring to , but remember the Noida campus offers better placements compared to other Amity campuses. For CSE, Law management and mass communication placement records are decent, with top companies like TCS, Deloitte, Accenture and a few startups hiring students. But you have to keep in mind that it’s important to build strong projects, communication skills internship and networking. Amity gives you the platform, but the outcome depends a lot on your efforts. Amity University’s EEE department has decent infrastructure with a wide range of well-equipped labs, including those for electrical machines, power systems, control systems, and power electronics. The labs are up to date with simulation tools like MATLAB, Simulink, and others used in the industry, offering students hands-on experience.
Faculty members are generally qualified and supportive, though student reviews are mixed. Some students appreciate the structured teaching and guidance, while others feel that faculty engagement and teaching styles can vary. Attendance rules are strict, and the learning environment is more productive for students who are self-motivated and take initiative outside regular lectures.
Overall, Amity provides solid resources for EEE, but students often need to put in extra effort to get the most out of the program.
