Great academics in a compact, modern campus.

      Verified Review
      College Infrastructure

The infrastructure at the East Campus (Vivek Vihar) is modern but compact. The best part is that the entire academic block, including classrooms and the library, is fully air-conditioned, which is a lifesaver in Delhi summers and something even North Campus colleges often lack. The library is state-of-the-art with a great collection of Economics and business books. The computer labs are well-equipped with software like SPSS and R for our labs. However, you must know that this is not the main Bawana campus. The campus is small (about 2 acres). We do not have vast playgrounds; sports facilities are limited to a small basketball/volleyball court and indoor games like TT and Carrom. Crucial Note on Hostels: There are NO on-campus hostels at the East Campus. Most of us live in PGs or flats in Vivek Vihar, Karkardooma, or Dilshad Garden. The mess food is irrelevant since there is no hostel mess, but the campus canteen is decent and hygienic.

      Academics

Academics is the strongest suit of USME (East Campus). The curriculum is rigorous and updated as per the NEP (4-year degree), comparable to top DU colleges like SRCC or Stephens. The faculty is highly qualified, with many professors being alumni of DSE (Delhi School of Economics) and IIMs. They are approachable and focus heavily on research and practical application rather than rote learning. The Economics Hons course here includes a good mix of Mathematics, Statistics, and Econometrics, making you job-ready for analyst roles. Attendance rules are strictly followed (75% is mandatory), and the workload is significant with regular assignments and presentations.

      Placements

Placements for Economics and BBA students are decent and improving every year. Since we are under the DTU umbrella, we get a good brand value. The Placement Cell is active and student-driven. Stats: The average package for Eco Hons hovers around 4.5 LPA to 6 LPA, with the highest going up to 10-14 LPA. Roles: Mostly Analyst roles, Research Associates, and Consulting. Companies: Companies like ZS Associates, KPMG, Bain Capability Network, and other analytics firms visit. While it doesn't match the B.Tech placements of the main campus, it offers a solid ROI compared to private universities. If you build good skills in Excel and R, getting placed is not difficult.

      Value for Money

The fees for BA Economics Hons are approximately ₹1.2 Lakhs per year (totaling around ₹5 Lakhs for 4 years). compared to DU (which is virtually free), this might seem high. However, considering the fully AC infrastructure, the smaller batch size (which means better teacher-student ratio), and the "DTU" brand tag on your degree, it is worth the money. You are paying for a professional environment that feels more like a B-School than a typical undergraduate college.

      Campus Life

This is where you need to manage expectations. The campus vibe is very different from the Main Campus. Because the campus is small, it feels a bit like a school extension. Everyone knows everyone, which is nice, but you miss out on the massive "fests" and sprawling campus life unless you travel to the Main Campus in Bawana for events like Engifest. Crowd: The crowd is decent, mostly serious about their careers. Location: Vivek Vihar is a residential area. It's safe and well-connected by the Blue Line (Karkardooma) and Red Line (Mansarovar Park) metros. Societies: There are active societies like Finance, Debating, and Cultural clubs, but events are on a smaller scale.

Excellent Academics and Faculty in a Compact Campus- If you want a serious academic environment with top-tier faculty and don't mind missing out on a huge campus life, DTU East Campus is a fantastic choice. It is perfect for students who want to focus on their studies and secure a good analyst job. Just be prepared to hunt for a PG nearby as there are no hostels.

Till date overall experience is good.

      College Infrastructure

The college infrastructure is good and well planned. However , improvement is needed in the cateen, seating areas , sports facilities , computer labs and Wi-Fi connectivity to enhance the overall student experience

      Academics

Academics are good with supportive and knowledgeable teachers , some of whom are excellent. However , more seminars , real - time examples , workshops and practical learning opportunities would improve overall academic exposure.

      Placements

As a first - year student , I have limited knowledge about placements. Seniors say it is average. Placement can improve through company interaction , startup , tie - ups , workshops , seminars and a strong alumni network.

      College Infrastructure

The college infrastructure is decent and supports daily academic needs. However, the canteen , sports facilities , sitting area needs improvement. Better sheds and seating would make the campus more comfortable for students.

      Academics

Academics at the college are strong and well structured. Most teachers are supportive and knowledgeable , with a few truly excellent faculty members who make learning engaging and help students understand concepts clearly.

      Placements

I don't have much personal experience with placements yet , but from what seniors day , they are not very strong. Students mostly need build skills and find opportunities on thir own. There should be some improvement.

The college is amazingly designed and has a good crowd. ko

      College Infrastructure

Department’s infrastructure is great, Centralised ACs and good working smartboards for better engagement. There is a lot of greenery and a small cafeteria that serves quick snacks and coffees of kinds

      Academics

The professors are knowledgable and helpful towards the students, They are understanding and motivates us to engage ourselves in activities like research. They help us in solving doubts with extra classes too.

      Placements

As far as we’ve got to know from our seniors, placements are above average but highly depends upon the CGPA that is to be maintained with seriousness. Campus Placements are strict and requires equal participation in studies and skills.

      Value for Money

As per the past year placement records, the infrastructure and professors, Its a good value for money.

      Campus Life

Campus has an area of 1acre that ignores the major spots for students to hangout, but the classes are beautifully designed.

      College Infrastructure

College has well maintained classrooms which provide students comfort and help them stay focused. Library and common areas provide a good academic environment with decent Wi-Fi and study spaces that support both individual and group projects.

      Academics

Faculty members are supportive and approachable and many have solid academic backgrounds. The curriculum is also updated and includes practical components like assignments, practicals, presentations that build real world skills.

      Placements

As a placement coordinator myself of my college, I can clearly say placement cell actively coordinates with recruiters and brings multiple companies to college. Every year internship and placement fair also takes place which provide several opportunities to students.

      Value for Money

The fees of this course is around 1.5 lakh per year. Considering the facilities, academic environment, placement opportunities , the overall experience offers good value for the fee charged. Students also gain benefits through reputation of college.

      Campus Life

Campus has an active student community with large scale fests calling big stars. This year Sonu Nigam was invited to our fest along with several singers and comedians. Campus provide plenty of chances to explore yourself beyond academics.

strong academics, growing placements, decent overall.

      College Infrastructure

DTU's campus infra is good with well ventilated classrooms, ac FACILITIESM AND modern teaching spaces. the library has a wide range of books and study material relevant to economics. eco is offered at the east camous, overall size of the amenities is compact.

      Academics

course circiulum is updated and industry relevant, including theoritical and applied eco suubjects. faculty membes age generally qualified and approachable, many are helpful in clearing doubts, however teaching methods are varying,

      Placements

emergining and improving but not as strong as in traditional engineering streams, a fair number of students recieve internships and final placements in finanace, analystics and consulting, the packages are not that good.

      Value for Money

compared with other govt aided universities, dtu's eco course is moderately priced. while fees is higher than DU, the brand value and other things might justify the cost. it also helps in pulling up the crowd

      Campus Life

it is decent, with various student societies and extraciricular opportunities linked to dtu's culture. however, as the eco program operates in the east camous, some students feel campus activities are less viberant.

      Others

dtu offeres good academic foundation, access to intern and decent supportive enviornment for students focused on eco and related careers.

Good but not excellent, bright but not the sun

      College Infrastructure

The college infrastructure in the main bawana campus is good, there are lots of amenities leisure views provided. The buildings are architecture marvels just so to say and there are huge stage grounds, good basic infrastructure and sports facilities

      Academics

The college academics are quite conceptual friendly compared to rest of the other colleges in Delhi due to Alumni teachers of other colleges teaching here from IITs and IIMs and other heavy regional colleges lik AMU and DU

      Placements

The placements are great multinational companies often come to the college offering high placement for young and aspiring graduates. One must maintain a score of 8 and above SGPA to get there otherwise they can interrogate you for that

      Value for Money

As many amenities are provided for like free of cost, the cost is actually covered in the fees. The minimum btech feee is almost like 200k but the facilities like hostel, mess, gym, sports, ground, lake etc are many to explore

      Campus Life

There are lot of events happening in the college's, celebrities and influencers visit on occasional levels. The gest organised os North India's largest fest and is celebrated by top artists of India overall.

      Others

One thing I would like to add is that there is a certain Easy campus of this college in vivek vihar that is quite neglected as the students i have seen with no basic facilities like canteen involved in it. If that campus can be shifted to the main in Rohini then it will be a huge benefit for 1.5k students there studying who often take long routes just to enjoy the main campus benefits and sports events for sports enthusiasts.

      It's great and recommended

      College Infrastructure

The infrastructure of college can be said somewhat good classes have air conditioner and are spacious all classes have projector the library contains all the books with wifi access and well maintained clean washrooms there is a volleyball court and a small basketball court and a badminton court too many other sports are also there. To conclude the campus has cozy and peaceful vibes

      Academics

The faculty is also great some teachers really put effort to teach but some may not but all teachers provide notes and refer books to study from. subjects that are teached are also relevant and helps us grow

      Placements

There is a training and placement cell which look for relevant and good companies and reach out to them for placement and many workshops and seminars are conducted to guide students for their future and how to secure a good job .

      Value for Money

Being in DTU is value of money as all the facilities provided justifies it ac classes wifi library events good faculty and DTU itself is a brand name. For BBA it costed around 1.2 lakh which is somewhat justified as other than SSCBS there is no college which has fees less than 1L

      Campus Life

The campus life is great the campus is small but the society culture is great there are 20 30 societies woth helps one grow . The campus is located on main road so is accessible to many places and gaurd are present there all the time so safety is not that big issue campus is small but there are multiple events which are fun teachers and students and a the staff is great and not rude at all and very helping

      Others

So to conclude the campus is small but has a very cozy and peaceful vibes there are multiple events and societies where a person can engage in and I recommend this college to those who don't care about the size of campus but about other things one can always look for a better option but DTU USME is a great choice for me and can be for other also

Good academics, decent placements, limited campus life

      Verified Review
      College Infrastructure

Modern classrooms with projectors, clean spaces, good library facilities. Maintained campus environment and basic amenities are present. Proximity to metro stations (Mansarovar Park, Karkarduma) makes commute easy. Cons Campus is smaller than the main DTU campus. No dedicated hostels for USME; students usually stay in nearby PGs. Smaller management campus but adequate facilities for study.

      Academics

Curriculum stresses practical learning, discussions, case studies and real-world projects. Faculty includes experienced professors and industry practitioners. Focus on skills such as group discussions, soft skills and industry exposure.

      Placements

Placement and Internship Week events bring companies and offers, with roughly 165 students getting offers in 2025. Placement opportunities exist, but strong self-initiative is critical — you often must chase internships and job leads, not just wait for drives. Some batches report lower placement drive participation or fewer companies visiting compared to main campus streams.

      Value for Money

Not a good value for money if we compare it with DU

      Campus Life

Active student societies and occasional events, cultural fests, competitions. Friendly and academically inclined environment. Campus life is not very vibrant or large-campus feel like main DTU East Campus. Some find it a bit “boring” compared to bigger university experiences.

      Academics

I am a student of BA ECONOMICS HONOURS with a minor in data science, the course is very diverse and high level , the curriculum is updated time to time with even social sciences included. The course is good.

      Placements

Not really sure of the placements, since the campus is new but we do have IIM Alumni. But according to, the main campus ratings the placements is much better and due too the reputation it is easier to get jobs
