I am doing software engineering from dtu as I wanted to get into top companies around the globe, The professors there are well qualified and specialised in the field., so you feel satisfied with their lectures. They motivate you to go for higher studies as well as teach us with proper guidance. There are regular camps as well as industry visits so that students have good exposure to the practical environment, and everything's here is industry oriented and one can get jobs very easily with this degree.
Placement scenario is good for M.Tech courses. As i am from software engineering background pursuing M.Tech which is a very trendy field in today's century, and my seniors were also placed in the companies as well as in colleges. There is a great opportunity if someone wants to go to tech consulting companies like TCS, INFOSYS, and one can get job offer with entry level salary of 50LPA and the average salary in our college is 14LPA.
Nice infrastructure. New academic blocks established very recently for computer science, applied mathematics, software and information technology departments. College is spacious, green and overall posses a great infrastructure.
Quite knowledgeable lecturers. Opens wide opportunities of learning for students. Greater scope of learning for students interested in research opportunities. The curriculum stress could've been improved though.
One of the best college in terms of placements. You need a threshold GPA and skills and you've got yourself placed for sure. Packages go upto 80 lakhs (2023). Almost every student who sits for placement gets placed. Supportive placement cell as well.
Approximately 2.4 lakhs per annum is the B.Tech fees. Given the equipments at labs and services provided, the amount is quite worth the services. Top quality education, fair logistic services etc make the money worth.
The campus life of DTU is the attraction spot for students which makes it preferable over other JAC colleges. Lenient professors, super chill and supportive seniors, wonderful societies for the best exposure.

Delhi Technological University is reputed for its excellent infrastructure. Classrooms are well-equipped with smart boards, laboratories boast advanced equipment, and the library is resourceful. One of the highlights of DTU's infrastructure is the Open Air Theatre (OAT) where you can chill and hang out with friends.
I am currently studying B.Tech. Software Engineering because of my interest in computers. Most of the teachers are good but in the end, you have to put in your efforts to score well. Some of the teachers might make it difficult to score for useless reasons but again which college doesn't :)) The curriculum for software engineering is updated but you have to study DSA on your own or with your peers to get a good package.
The quality of placements has been very good even in the recession period. The average salary offered is roughly around 14-15 LPA in Software Engineering. The placement process is pretty smooth. Placement coordinators are appointed to guide you through the whole placement process.
The campus life at DTU is dynamic and vibrant. Makes you want to come to college again and again. Even in 3 years, I wasn't bored !!
Great Top of the line infrastructure with a newly built Twin towers for mathematics, physics, software and computer science department. A three-story library with hundreds of thousands of books. Separate department buildings for every branch.

tution fees for 4 years sums up to about 10 lakhs for general student. If you include hostel and mess as well it can go up to 13.5-15 depending upon type of hostel u take. the fees is totally value for money for the experience it provides

85% Seat Allocation for Delhi Candidates : DTU reserves 85% of its seats across programs, including B.Tech, BBA, and MBA, for candidates who have completed their qualifying education—such as Class 12 for undergraduate courses or a Bachelor’s degree for MBA—from a recognized institution located in Delhi. Given that your schooling is from Delhi, you fulfill this criterion and are eligible for the Delhi quota. This reservation policy prioritizes you over out-of-state candidates, who compete for the remaining 15% of seats, thereby enhancing your chances of securing admission.
Validity of Caste Certificate from Haryana : Your caste certificate from Haryana is valid for claiming reservation benefits at DTU, provided it is issued by a competent authority and adheres to the Government of India’s guidelines for categories such as OBC-NCL, SC, or ST. DTU, as a state university, accepts caste certificates from other states for reservation purposes, so your certificate should not pose any issue, assuming it aligns with the category you’ve applied under. For instance, if applying under OBC-NCL, the certificate must be recent (typically issued within the last year) and reflect your status on the Central OBC list. The 85% Delhi quota is determined solely by your schooling location, not the state of issuance of your caste certificate, so this aspect does not impact your eligibility for the quota.
MBA-Specific Eligibility at DTU : If you are applying for DTU’s MBA program, the eligibility criteria include a Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 60% marks (50% for SC/ST candidates). Admission typically requires a valid CAT score, followed by a counseling process or an interview. As a Delhi candidate, you fall under the 85% quota, and your caste certificate can be utilized to avail reservation benefits, potentially easing cutoff requirements or prioritizing your seat allocation.
Hello Aspirant,
If you are okay with any BTech branch and are open to a lot of other areas, then any branch at DTU is generally better than CSE at JSS. DTU (Delhi Technological University) has a good reputation, better campus, alumni network, and placement packages across branches, as well as internships and projects. Even if you don't get CSE at DTU, ECE, IT at DTU, or even mechanical can be good, and you would learn coding for example, or otherwise ease into this area through self-study coding platforms and internships.
If you are fully aware that you only want to do Computer Science and have a deep passion for programming from the start, then CSE at JSS can also be a decent option. However, overall DTU offers a better platform for your long-term career development and flexibility.
No, Delhi Technological University (DTU) does not use CUET for admissions to its B.Tech programs. DTU primarily relies on the JEE Main scores for B.Tech admissions, with the Joint Admission Counselling (JAC) Delhi handling the process. CUET is used for admissions to other UG programs offered by DTU, such as BBA, BA (Hons.) Economics, and B.Des.
Elaboration:
B.Tech Admissions:
DTU's B.Tech admissions are based on the scores obtained in the JEE Main entrance exam, which is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA).
JAC Delhi:
The Joint Admission Counselling (JAC) Delhi handles the counselling and seat allocation process for B.Tech programs at DTU, along with other participating institutions like Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology (NSIT), Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology-Delhi (IIIT-D), and Indira Gandhi Delhi Technical University for Women (IGDTUW).
CUET for Other Programs:
While JEE Main is the primary entrance for B.Tech, CUET is used for admission to other UG programs like BBA, BA (Hons.) Economics, and B.Des at DTU.
