My 4 months at DTU have been a memorable one.

      College Infrastructure

Infrastructure is well maintained and being upgraded regularly. Recently new hostels for boys and girls were built along with a huge twin tower academic block for the tech branches with most modern facilities. Campus has ample of eating outlets spread across including the likes of Dominos,Dosa plaza and Bistro 57. It has huge three storeyed library with Air conditioning and wifi. The campus is spread across 164 acres and has a large sports complex.

      Academics

Academics are decent enough with course structure up to date modified recently in 2023 to meet industry standards. Teachers are mostly knowledgeable but focus is more on self study rather than classrooms. Getting a decent cgpa is easier if hard work is out into. I have taken Mathematics and computing branch due to its better and demanding course structure. Mathematics department also has one of the best faculty on campus.

      Placements

Placements for tech branches CSE,IT ( avg 25 LPA) SE,MCE ( avg 20 LPA+),ECE,EE(avg 15-18 LPA) are competing with top nits and lower branches at iits . Placements for other branches are varying but still competes with similar branches at other top nit's. Highly recommended for placement opportunities as being in Delhi is an added advantage. Avg salary for the btech batch is about 15 LPA with about 2000-2200 students placed on average every year.

      Campus Life

Campus Life is one of the best here. Relatively chill routine and huge number of societies involved in all kinds of activities ranging from technology to finance , acting to dancing, tech teams, fest and event organizers,E-cell and much more. Number of fests are organized around the year largest being the Engifest one of the most popular in Delhi and north india.

      College Infrastructure

A vast campus, there are different buildings allocated to various departments. Organised in a great manner, facilities are easily accessible and useful for a student. Overall, It has a great ambience.

      Academics

Various degrees can be pursued through Delhi Technological University (DTU). Students are enrolled in various programs and quality of teaching in each program is commendable where students are provided skills-based knowledge.

      Placements

To be honest, very well known for its placements. Over the years, the Tier-1 tag has been justified by the placements of the college itself. The whole process is easy-going and smooth and ensures maximum opportunities for everyone.

      Value for Money

You don't really need to give away a lot of money to enroll into B.Tech as compared to other colleges. It's fees is around Rs 2.5 Lakhs per year. Absolutely worth the money and one should expect a high ROI after getting into the college.

      Campus Life

The campus itself is a wide arena for every sorts of activities. One can take part in sports and play almost every sport they like. Also, there are other various curricular activities that we can participate into and enhance our personality.

      Good college go for it.

      College Infrastructure

Campus is preety decent and huge. Lecture hall is good too. Don't have projectors in every lecture hall is con here. Fests nd events are nice too which gains the most of attention. So overall 3 out 5 for infrastructure will be given by me.

      Academics

Academics can be given 3 put of 5. As per the fee we pay I was expecting more from the college. Apparently there was lack of chemical and stuffs we need for the experiments. Some teachers don't put that much effort to teach.

      Placements

Placements are good here but need to get good grades for that else no scope to be part of good company. MNCs and reputed companies take part in placements. It's another thing which attract the students.

      Value for Money

I would say not enough cause it's a government college bht the fee structure is preety high for that. We expect it to be cooperative for students but it can be tough for the students with low income generation.

      Campus Life

Campus life is good. Hostels are great here. Library and mess are nice too. It can be given 4 out of 5 .

      Others

      Nothing to add.

      Fun, chill ,relax ,easy going

      College Infrastructure

Pretty well built , but the issue is that the old design buildings effects the newly required architecture and design, else it is well maintained quite big and airy campus and good sports ground , and newly built buliding are like cherry on the cake.

      Academics

In terms of academic one must have to find his or her way on his own cause they cannot be dependent upon the faculty or the professor, you have to study on your own. There are some sources that are seemingly quite helpful.

      Placements

CGPA is everything if you have a good CGPA then regardless of your branch you will get a good job/ placement. And how well you manage to crack interviews and moreover one thing to keep in mind is keep looking for internship regardless of pay.

      Value for Money

The fees seems to quite higher in reference to the facilities provided, especially in terms of admin and management work which is quite the heavy lifting.

      Campus Life

Campus Life is amazing , even better than other JAC colleges, there are restrictions just like any other colleges yet you can have fun over your years here.

Really pretty campus; all the necessary equipment needed in labs, and by societies for events is available. Classes are well maintained with air conditioning. The is clean and affordable. several stores available in campus like Safal, Amul, Dominos, etc cafeteria

      Academics

Extremely precise curriculum, not too strict, teachers are friendly, attendance is not an issue but its a good thing to maintain it above 75%, decent scoring system not too harsh. back is rarely encountered if a person has been regular to classes and does decent on exam.

      Placements

DTU has good placement stats but the thing is from biotech its a little difficult to crack a good placement. if you can focus on notech you can get a really good opportunity of around 15-20 lakhs average package. tech is simply not the goal and always go for out of campus placements.

      College Infrastructure

The college infrastructure is pretty decent and there are clean washrooms and water coolers present in each department. The roads are good too with no potholes. And various shops spread across the whole campus.

      Academics

I would say that if you don't go to lectures, you are on your own which you obviously would be, but if you go to lectures you would get ideas of what would be important in class and be acquainted with teachers which would increase your chances in getting more marks for internals.

      Placements

According to my branch, I haven't heard many placement stories of seniors who was going to core BioTech, but the department teachers says otherwise and have heard stories about ok packages but never heard from person who actually got it.

      Value for Money

Value for money is great, yeah I get it that the college tution fees is a little over the top regarding this is a government college, but the amazing infrastructure and crowd quality cancels it, with many good societies and fests that regular takes place all around the year so it's equal amount of fun as you are giving fees.

      Campus Life

Great, you won't ever feel bored if you are associated with societies, freshers craze for societies interviews is unmatched and these societies also takes there members to different trips sometimes sponsered by the college itself. So, campus life is great if you are associated with the right people.

Campus of DTU is quite huge with modern classrooms, plenty of labs, and a nice library. Campus is also offering good enough sports facilities and hostels (I did not live in hostel tho) , though some areas could use more maintenance

      Academics

B.Tech in Biotech at DTU has a quite balanced course with plenty of labs. Professors know what they are teaching and there’s a good mix of theory and practical exposure. However, the workload is quite hectic around exams

      Placements

I did not personally sit in the process as i wanted to for higher studies but i know that companies in pharma and biotech come on campus and they offer good packages. Overall they have good placements.

      College Infrastructure

Infrastructure is only the thing that is good at DTU. Obviously it is best as conpare with many colleges. It have big sport complex, manyyy food outlets new outlests are made and central library. Classrooms have AC and projectors. Overall infrastructure is great.

      Academics

Each semester spans about 4-5 months. For example, if the semester starts in August, the final exams are usually held in November. This schedule determines the frequency of exams. The difficulty level of exams is quite manageable as the questions are typically based on what the professors teach in class. Most questions are application-based but still straightforward and easy to solve. However, the curriculum does not fully align with the skills required in the industry, which is a common issue across many colleges. For instance, in the computer science program, students study a variety of programming subjects, including web designing, DBMS, operating systems, computer networks, and cybersecurity-related topics. Additionally, there are elective subjects that allow students to explore areas beyond their core branch. These electives are often easier, particularly those from the humanities stream, making them a popular choice among students. While the curriculum covers a broad range of topics, it lacks a direct focus on the practical skills that are in high demand in the industry.

      Placements

DTU is renowned for its placement opportunities, with over 400 companies visiting annually, including top names like Amazon, Microsoft, Zomato, and Apple. Students with a CGPA of 6.0 or higher become eligible for placements in their fourth year, while those below 6.0 have limited chances. High-paying roles, especially in Computer Science and IT, often come from international companies, with the highest package reaching ₹1 crore. The average package is ₹7-8 LPA, with roles offered in software development, data analysis, consulting, and core engineering. Success largely depends on skills, CGPA, and communication abilities. My focus is on gaining expertise and practical knowledge to enhance long-term employability, with or without campus placements.

      Value for Money

I am from the 2021-25 batch, and here is the breakdown of our four-year fee structure: · First year: ₹2,16,000 Second year: ₹2,19,000 Third year: ₹2,29,000 Fourth year: ₹2,36,700 As you can see, the fees increase each year. Yes, DTU offers many scholarships, but most of them are for students from SC, ST, and OBC communities. General category students do not receive scholarships. However, if you are a topper, you may qualify for merit-based scholarships, which are awarded only to academically outstanding students.

      Campus Life

My campus life at DTU has been a mix of excellent facilities and individual effort. The infrastructure is a standout feature, with air-conditioned classrooms, projectors, a well-stocked central library, and a massive sports complex supporting various activities. DTU hosts fest like Engifest (February) and yuvaan (October-November), which offer great exposure but can feel crowded due to participants from other colleges. Social life on campus is individualistic, with students focused on personal goals, though there are many active clubs for coding, robotics, drama, and more. These clubs enhance skills and provide a sense of community for those involved. Overall, DTU provides ample resources and opportunities, but making the most of campus life depends on how actively you participate.

Have a question related to DTU Delhi ?

      Hello Dear Student,

Admission to Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) at the Delhi Technological University under the OBC-NCL category depends significantly on whether you are a Delhi-region candidate or an Outside-Delhi candidate.

For Delhi-region students , CSE admissions are generally possible at a percentile in the mid-to-high 90s, with closing

On the other hand, Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Technology may offer you CSE or allied branches with comparatively better coding and
