Obviously , It is possible to pursue CA along side with BTech.

The general eligibility for CA is :
1) The candidate must have passed 10+2 from any branch.
2) The candidate must have qualified Common proficiency Test organised by Institute of Chatered Accountants of India (ICAI).

Now , doing BTech from IIT is a challenge in itself. As there are exams ,viva,Assignements and practically students have to study hard to keep pace with the college.  So doing it along side BTech will be tough enough to manage. And there will be a need of high interest in the subject. So it would be more preferable for your brother to study CA after BTech because CA is also a tough exam in itself. And it will need a lot of dedicated time. So keeping both in the same pace will very hard. This is completely my point of view , there can be exceptional opinnion possible.

I hope my answer helps you. Good eve!

Hello Gumma

Both of the Branches and colleges are good you can choose either on of them if you had said IIT Bombay CSE vs IIT Tirupathi CSE then ofcourse IIT Bombay but you have chosen two very different branches then the best thing for you will be to choose a college which offers the branch you actually want to do because both of them are equally good in terms of infrastructure and everthing so go with the one which offers your branch i will attach a link where you can look it for yourself too

Hi there,

  1. IITS mumbai is better college than ism, but metallurgy as iit mumbai is not that good.
  2. Ece is a better branch than metallurgy
  3. Placements are better ar iit mumbai but metallurgy has an average placement.
  4. Ece is going to be in demand in future.
  5. For abroad iit mumbai is better.

Hence I would suggest go for ism... But if you want iit mumbai then you can change your branch after first year if your perform the best among your batch.

I hope this helps

Hello ,

Hope you are doing well.

As per your question, both of the college are good but it depends on you in which branch you are interested in. And accordingly you can choose college but as you asked question so I may compare both the colleges as per your given branch in terms of placements and figure out which one would be better for you to go with. So

1) IIITH:-

They have good infrastructure where as per placement they have highest CTC package of 46LPA and average package is around 21LPA which is amazing.

2) IIT bombay:-

They have good infrastructure as well the name indicates while they have highest CTC package of 60.28LPA and an average package of 20 LPA.

so as per CSE trends you may go with IIITH as they have good placement to as companies like Microsoft, google, came there to recruit candidates. But if you have your interest in mechanical branch then no doubt you may go with IIT bombay too as both of the colleges have their reputation and standards.

Hope this information helps you out. Thank you.

Hi Aspirant,

Admission for Engineering has two prospects. The first one is the branch you want to pursue, and your career and interest are the attributes, and the Second one is College, and the placement and tag are the motivation factors.

Metallurgical Engineering has a minimal scope in India over Mechanical Engineering. IIT Bombay and IIT Varanasi are both old IITs, though IIT Bombay leads in the ranking.

I will suggest pursuing Mechanical Engineering in IIT Varanasi will be a wiser decision than pursuing Metallurgical Engineering in IIT Bombay.

All the best.

Dear Aspirant,

When the couselling procedure starts it goes from the top to bottom, so if you have filled IIT Bombay last, and you have some other college higher in the list that you can get based on your rank, then you will get a seat there. The counseliing will not go till the last.

If however, it goes till the end choice, it meant that you have a score which is not enough for any of the colleges.

Use our college predictor tool to know about the list of colleges you can expect at your score:-

Hope this helps. Thank you.

Hi Aspirant,

It depends on your interest about the domain in which you want to pursue your career. Definitely, IIT Madras tag is a laurel compare to IIT Bhubaneswar. But, what will help in your future is the branch and knowledge. So, I will vouch for Mechanical Engineering at IIT Bhubaneswar rather than Metallurgical Engineering at IIT Bombay.

Hello,

Both the civil Engineering department and chemical engineering department are really good in IIT Bombay. Making a choice between these two depends totally on your area of interest but I'll list out the comparison between these two branches.
In IIT Bombay civil is considered better than chemical engineering. Civil engineering deals with the construction and design, maintenance of the physical or naturally built environment, including work at various bridges, roads etc.
Chemical engineering on the other hand conceive and design processes to produce, transform and transport materials starting by experimenting them first in the laboratory and then by implementation of the technology in full scale production.
Chemical engineers do have a chance at higher salary but the job opportunities is less than that of civil engineers, also chemical engineering is more tough than civil engineering since it has a vast syllabus.

Hope this helps.
