All MTech students who have qualified GATE are eligible for stipend. The amount is according to the current AICTE or UGC policy .
The MHRD has increased the stipend for M.Tech and Ph.D. students recently.

*IIT BOMBAY PROVIDES ADMISSION IN 8 BTECH STREAMS ,2 BSC STREAMS AND 5 B. INTEGRATED BTECH STREAMS and seats for each programme is 729,58, 152 respectively.

Well it usually depends on the branch,but to get admission in IITB your rank must be in the range of 1-4.5k as the last rank for the least branch was 5k.But wait till the official cutoff list gets released.
