Dear Aspirant, JEE Advance marks is quite a relative term. It would be great that you focus on your preparation rather than worrying about your rank. According to previous year cutoffs, closing rank for Engineering Physics at IIT Bombay was around 990 and the rank you are targetting is around 200 which is quite good and safe to get admission in this branch. You can check out here for the marks(it is based on previous year's cutoff:-https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/jee-advanced-cutoff. All the best!
I cannot tell you the marks needed but i can surely tell you the rank. That is because there is no fixed pattern for the exam and total marks. The conducting body always surprises students taking the exam. So, the marks needed to score to get IIT Bombay vary according to the total marks.

Hello Kunal,
If you are a an ECE student and have qualified GATE with it then you will need to score a rank lower than 40 to have an assured seat in IIT BOMBAY. You can also get in with an AIR rank between 41-100 but you will need to clear an interview to get admitted.
The subject code for microelectronics is EE4 and the admission process for EE4 is as follows :
1. For TA - direct admission
2. TAP/RA/RAP/FA - written test on the 7th of June and interview on 8th and 19th June
3. PS/IS/SW/IIT BTech - written test on 7th June and interview on 8th and 9th June.
Hope this helps :)
I happens with many candidate just be calm and wait for the notification to upload new documents on the website. If nothing works just go to IIT B on the day of counselling or interview and meet the registrar of the controller of examination office and tell him your problem. But there will be a notification about it on there website before last call so check there website daily and if possible send a mail on there mail id stating your problems.
Best of luck.
hello
aerospace engineering for general category closed at 2053 rank in jee advanced 2018.the marks required for this were 190 out of 360. i urge you to rely upon the rank data more than marks as marks can fluctuate according to the papaer but closing rank would nearly be the same.
hope it helps.

Hi,
See, both are premier institutes but I would suggest IIT Bombay, which is the most popular choice among students for M.Tech in CSE. Research facilities and academics and faculties are good in all the old IITs, so are placements. But do remember, Mumbai is the 'financial capital' of India, hence a number of companies flock there. The average package is around 12 lakhs and you can get as high as 25 lakhs. Also, if you are interested in doing a Ph.D. in Computer Science, expect very good recommendations. IIT Bombay has consistently been ranked high in various international rankings.
The IIT-B culture is surely incomparable. The picturesque campus is in Powai with lakes and hills. Techfest, IITB is the largest science and technology festival in Asia. Also, Mood Indigo is Asia's largest cultural festival. Studying at IIT Bombay is surely a matter of pride!
Hope this helps.
Cheers!
Hello Sidharth,
The cutoff for M.Tech RA is almost closer to M.Tech TA. But nothing can be said with a guarantee. Cut-off scores vary every year and it might vary this year too.
Also, your GATE score determines the probability of receiving a call for further rounds.
Hope this helps. All the best!
My college has all the necessary infrastructure, facilities and equipments from both academics and sports activities. It has Hostels for all the students from btech, mtech to phds so we don't have to look for the Pg outside the college.
It is not hidden from anyone about IIT Bombay and its extraordinary infrastructure, the hostels, the departments, the convocation hall, the auditoriums, the playgrounds, the student activity centre, and what not, everything is just fab. Our campus has 24*7 WiFi. The Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IITB) was ranked 118th in the 2025 QS World University Rankings.
Hostels here great to live in. The hostel experience is really memorable for any student. All hostels have 24*7 Wi-Fi access and connectivity. Hostel mess food is also far then that of the other college. Also, the hostels are quite safe and secure from the perspective of a girl students.
