Dear student,

If you have secured 20190 rank in sc category in jee mains 2020, then it's impossible to get any nits or iiits. In csab round you can try your luck as the chances of getting seat are increased in csab counseling

And if you are an other state student, then there is no chance for you to get a nit or iiits like iiit Hyderabad, iiit bhopal, etc.

Better try at bit sindri or hbti Kanpur or at other private institutions like kalinga institute of industrial technology.

Check out the following link to know the past years cutoff trends for top iiits :-

Happy learning.

Hi aspirant,

You have obtained 20,190 SC category rank. With such rank it is difficult for you to get admission in good IIITs. However you may get some lower and moderate ones. It cannot be predicted exactly because the cutoff changes every year. You can see the IIITs cutoff by clicking on the following link:

https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/jee-main-cutoff-for-top-iiits

You can also predict your college and branch options based on this rank by using the JEE Main college predictor tool by clicking on the following link: https://engineering.careers360.com/jee-main-college-predictor?icn=QnA&ici=qna_answer

Hello aspirant

Hope you are doing great there . I regret to say this but if your ews category rank is 41,735 , you can not get a seat in any branch of any NIT . To get a seat in NIT , your EWS rank should be close to 5,000 . You can try for your home state government college but there also , you can get a seat during the physical round of counselling only .

But you can easily get a seat in private colleges like

Chitkara University

Galgotia University

Amity University

You can also use the link below to predict colleges :

Hope my answer helps

All the very best!

Hi

Your profile suggests that your home state is Telangana

It's quite difficult to predict because cutoff keeps changing every year depending upon various factors like :-

******number of students that appeared in the  jee main exam,

****** number of available seats,

****** performance of different students in the examination,

****** the category you belong etc.

But yes,

When we go through previous year trend then

>>>>> with  6000 st rank

You have low chance in NITs.

For example,

Under other state quota , closing rank for some of the lower nits for which closing rank goes low are listed below along with their closing rank in the 6th round of josaa counselling 2020 for st category  :-

  • NIT Mizoram ,civil engineering :-   2975 st rank

  • Nit nagaland ,Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering :- 3086 st rank

  • National Institute of Technology Agartala,    Biotechnology and Biochemical Engineering:- 3521 st rank

You can check the same at

https://josaa.nic.in/Result/Result/currentorcr.aspx

From above, it is clear that you need at least a rank of around 3500 st rank to get into an NIT. Similarly , your chances are low in IIITs .

But yes,

You have chances in GFTIs

you have chances in following GFTIs which are listed below along with their closing rank in 6th round of josaa counselling 2020 under other state :-

----------)Institute of Technology, Guru Ghasidas Vishwavidyalaya (A Central University), Bilaspur, (C.G.) :- Industrial and Production Engineering:- 6635 st rank

----------)Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering and Technology:- Food Technology:-6799 st rank

----------)National Institute of Food Technology Entrepreneurship and Management, Sonepat, Haryana :- Food Technology and Management:-6852 st rank

Hello Anil. You mentioned you have secured AIR 63000 and you are a General candidate. Well, based on your rank and previous years' data, you may get chance in few branches of NIT such as:

  1. NIT Raipur (Biomedical Engineering)
  2. NIT Nagaland (Mechanical Engg, Electronics and Instrumentation Engg and Civil Engg)
  3. NIT Mizoram (Civil Engineering)

On the other hand, you have very less chance to get admission at any branch of IIIT or GFTI as your performance is not up to the par.
