Since you are from Telengana, Your Home State quota will be on NIT Warangal. In 2020 , Last rank that was admitted to NIT Warangal was 12079 OBC Category Rank for Telengana students. With 24055 OBC Rank , it is Difficult to get into any NITs. You could get seats in GFTIs like Rajasthan Central University, Assam University Silchar etc. If cutoff remains lower than previous years, then you could get IIITs like IIIT Kota, IIIT Sonepat in special rounds.

Based on your category rank for ST-Boys, under All India seat (since you did not mention your home state) you will NOT be able to get into majority of the NITs with such a high rank. Since You haven't mentioned your ST Category rank, Based on the data available, your ST Category rank would be around 18000+. The last admitted rank for IIIT Kota was 4962 for Electronics Branch. Similarly the last admitted branch for IIIT Sonepat was 4795. So, Looking at previous years cutoff it is difficult for you to get IIITs in JOSAA Councelling. I would suggest you to go for State level councelling.

If we consider your profile then you are an engineering aspirant of class 12th so you must be seeking admission to B.Tech courses of NITs/IIITs. Now for admission to such courses in NITs and IIITs are only made on the basis of JEE-Main score not on the basis of IPE score because IPE score was merely a qualifying criteria for JEE-Main but now for this year it is also relaxed due to the pandemic. So now if you have just passed your 10+2 then you are eligible for admission to NITs/IIITs on the basis of JEE-Main score.

The chance for getting a seat in a particular institute with a particular branch varies as it depends upon the opening and closing rank of that institute as well as depend upon the number of students appeared in the exam, the seat matrix and the difficulty level of the exam. IIIT Guwahati is far better than IIIT Vadodara.

Some of the companies where IIIT Guwahati students got placed are: TCS, Microsoft, Mojo Networks, Tejas Networks, Cohesity, Wipro, TechJect, UpGrad, Tectards, Zaloni, Fractal Analytics, Neural with average package of 12.5 LPA .

Some of the companies where IIIT Vadodara students got placed are: TCS, Adobe, Microsoft, Amazon, Jio and MathWorks with average package of 10 LPA.
