Hello Sir/Mam,

With such SC rank it is very difficult to get even any of the IIITs or GFTIs because there is no any Home state quota in IIITs so that your son can get a bit of advantage, however the closing SC ranks of last year were like :-

@Other state quota

Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering and Technology - Food Technology (13193)

Gurukula Kangri Vishwavidyalaya, Haridwar - Electronics and Communication Engineering (12873)

@Home state quota

National Institute of Technology Sikkim    - Computer Science and Engineering (70646)

National Institute of Technology Agartala - Biotechnology and Biochemical Engineering (42298)

You can check out previous year's cut-offs from the official website of JOSAA as given below :-

Good Luck !

According to your percentile, your CRL rank must be around 55,000. Unfortunately with this score, it is difficult to get any IIIT except the one in your home state. Generally the closing ranks for all IIITs was around 50k last year.

Although you can try in lower IIITs like:

1. IIIT Nagpur

2. IIIT Bhopal

3. IIIT Sri City

4. IIIT Vadodara

You might get some branches there except for computer science. Check out the link below to explore more college options according to your percentile.

Good Luck !

Hi,

Assuming your CRL Rank is 71000. With this Rank, it is Difficult to get NITs . Your Home state Quota falls under NIT Allahabad. The Last admitted rank in NIT Allahabad was 48320 CRL. So it would be difficult for you to get into your state NIT. However you could get Branches like Mechanical or Electrical in following Institutes:

1. Rajasthan Central University

2. Pondicherry Engineering College

3. Assam University, Silchar

4.National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology Aurangabad

Apart from these, if cutoff remains lower than previous years than you could also get Newer IIITs like IIIT Sonepat, IIIT Kota, IIIT Sricity .

In order to know what other colleges you could get, use this tool: JEE Mains 2021 College Predictor

Thanks!!!
