Hello aspirant

Hope you are doing great there . I don't think 2nd drop affects your placements that much . If you have relevant skills then 2nd year drop doesn't make any difference in placements . You need not to think about this, just concentrate on building up your skills .

Hope my answer helps

Wish you all the very best!

Hope you are doing great there . According to the percentile score mentioned by you , your predicted CRL rank lies somewhere around 31713 - 35650 . I am really sorry to say this but with this rank , the chances of your admission in any of the IIIT is quite less but you can still try for the IIITs I am mentioning below:-

Indian Institute of Information Technology Bhagalpur

Indian Institute of Information Technology Dharwad

Indian Institute of Information Technology Kottayam

Indian Institute of Information Technology Manipur

Indian Institute of Information Technology Ranchi

I would suggest you to wait till the last rounds of counselling

I hope my answer helps

Wish you all the very best!

Hello Satyam. You mentioned you belong to General-EWS category. Well, as per your percentile your AIR should come within the range of 71610 - 80500, Although your percentile is good, you may not get a seat at NIT as your performance is not up to the mark and as you belong to general category. However, as you belong to EWS division, you may get a non-core branches at your Home State NIT (or other GFTIs). Getting admission in NITs generally require AIR below 30000 . However, you may get NITs till AIR 40000 somehow as you are coming for EWS quota, there will be 10% increment in seats.

Talking about IIITs , you may get chances to get admission in selected branches of IIITs like IIIT Pune, IIIT Nagpur, IIIT Dharwad, IIIT Kurnool or IIIT Indraprastha.

If you want to have a detailed report on your eligibility in various colleges based on your performance then JEE Main 2021 College Predictor:

I hope this information is enough to answer your query.

Thank you and all the best for your career and future.

When you have to compare two colleges and have to arrive at a conclusion then you have to choose some of the parameters. This parameters can be a distinct number of events but to conclude this answer I am choosing some of the most important parameters like:

  • Infrastructure
  • Curriculum
  • Faculties
  • Placement

If you consider all this factors then you will not find any big difference between these two colleges. Both of the colleges have very good infrastructure such as labs, libraries and they are very well equipped. Apart from this the best mind of India gets chance to be a faculty at these kind of premiere institutions. So regarding faculties both of the college have good faculties. Now if you consider the curriculum both of them have well equipped curriculum so you can't distinguish them in terms of that also. Although in IIIT Allahabad there is a bit better placement but in general the difference is negligible and keeps on fluctuating year to year.

So if you wish to go for these colleges then there are no such big differences and you can take admission in any of the two.

Hello Gayatri. I see you have a lot of queries hovering over your mind. Well, I will try to answer your question one by one.

First , even if you are a SC candidate, it is less likely for you to get admission in any NIT or IIIT as your performance is not up to the mark. Based on your percentile, your AIR should lie in the range of 271504 - 305210. In order to be eligible for admission in NITs through JEE Main, a candidate should score somewhere around at least 85-95 percentile . Keep in mind, if you have seen anywhere minimum marks to be obtained for SC category is 54.01 percentile then don't get confused with eligibility criteria for admission in NIT as that percentile is actually the cutoff for getting qualified for participating in JEE Main counselling as well as f or attempting JEE Advanced .

Now, if I talk about admission in IIITs, you may have a chance for admission in Electronics and Communication Engineering at IIIT, Indraprastha. In 2020, Cutoff Rank for SC through JEE Main was 443642.

Second, you want suggestions about some good colleges at New Delhi and Noida where you may get admission based on your performance. Well, some of the colleges where you have good chances are as follows:

  1. Guru Tegh Bahadur Institute of Technology, New Delhi
  2. Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Technology, New Delhi
  3. DITM - Delhi Institute Of Technology And Management, New Delhi
  4. Delhi Technical Campus, Greater Noida
  5. Trinity Institute of Innovations in Professional Studies, Greater Noida

and more...

If you want to get a detailed report on your eligibility for various colleges based on your performance at JEE Main, kindly use JEE Main 2021 College Predictor:

Third, you want to know whether you will get any seat at any branch of GFTI. As told you previously, your performance is not up to the par. It is less likely for you to get admission at any GFTI. If you want to get detailed information about cutoff trend for admission in GFTIs, refer to this article: https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/jee-main-cutoff-for-top-gftis

I hope I'm able to clear all your doubts. If you have any more questions, post them in the forum.

I wish you all the best for your successful career and future.

Thank you.

Hello candidate,

It's not possible to get into a good NIT or IIIT college if you score just around 90 percentile in the JEE mains examination, even if you belong to the EWS category, as you need to go around 96 to 97 percentile in order to get these colleges. Here are some of the colleges which you can get- NIT silchar, NIT allahabad, NIT agartala, NIT kurukshetra, Indian institute of information technology bhubaneswar, are some of them.

Hope you found it helpful. If you have any further questions feel free to post it here!!

Hello Aspirant,

Based on your percentile, You still have chance to get in some NITs or IIITs. It depends on which category you belong. If you belong to SC-ST then you will have good chance , if you belong to General than it is low. Since you haven't provided your Home state or you Category in Query, I can't precisely tell which institute will you got. However I would recommend you to check cutoff rank from previous year to know which institute you will get at this percentile. Although you can get into Newer NITs or IIITs in spot round if seats are left at that time.

If you want to predict which college you can get. You can visit this:

Thanks!!!

Hello Aspirant,

Based on previous year cutoff marks ,you can get into some IIITs. You can get IIIT Jabalpur or Gwalior with these scores. Based on your percentile vs Rank you will have Category rank of around 6500+.

To better predict which college you can get, you can check this on here.

https://engineering.careers360.com/jee-main-college-predictor?icn=QnA&ici=qna_answer

Thanks!!!

Hey,
As per the predictions the expected JEE MAIN cutoff for general category this year will be around 90-94 percentile.
And as you know your percentile is lying in this range. So for now its very difficult to say whether you will be able to qualify the exam or not. Without clearing the exam you will not be able to get any NIT, IIIT or GFTI. And you will be eligible for JEE Advanced only when you will clear the examination.
Even if you clear the exam then also with this score is not sufficient to get a seat in NIT, IIIT, GFTI.
But with this score surely you can get a seat in other colleges like:
  • HMR INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY AND MANAGEMENT, DELHI
  • UIT, BHOPAL
  • Madhav Institute of Technology and Science, Gwalior
I will also suggest you to use the college predictor tool to know about all the colleges that you might get with this rank.
