Well Placements in VIT is very good especially for CSE branch. To compare, it would be in par with older NITs for CSE Branch. If we compare with BITs then it is lower than that. And Yes, VIT has better placements than IIITs and Newer NITs. If you take private University, then only BITS has better placements record than VIT.

You can't get any of the NIT or IIIT with this percentile because your rank will going to appear very low in the marksheet. And even you will not eligible for the JOSSA counselling if cutoff exceeds to more than 75 percentile. You can check your rank with this link.

Based on your percentile ,your CRL rank would be around 34000+. For year 2020, the cutoff for Integrated Mtech in CSE was 7300. Based on this cutoff ,your chance of getting into IIIT Bangalore is low. Since cutoff is based on various factors like no. Of students applying, No. Of seats etc ,it may change this year.
