Dear Aspirant,

With this percentile CRL Rank would be around : 82863 - 93150 .

Now according to this and some previous year cutoffs , some of the colleges are:

  • IIIT Pune
  • Thapar Institute of technology

You can check official cutoffs of IIITs, GFTIs on JOSAA website:

https://josaa.nic.in/Result/Result/currentorcr.aspx

You can explore other options using these:

JEE Mains Rank predictor tool:

https://engineering.careers360.com/jee-main-rank-predictor/result

JEE Mains College Predictor  tool:

Hope this helps.

Dear Aspirant,

See generally CSE branch of all NITs, IIITs have high cutoff

Some of the previous year(2020) closing ranks  for general category of top NITs are:

NIT Surathkal : 3115 (Home State),  1324  (Other state)

NIT WARANGAL : 2043 (Home state), 1541 (Other state)

NIT TRICHY: 4728 (Home State), 781 (Other State)

NIT Nagpur : 5967 (home state), 4708 (Other State)

You can check all the official cutoffs (closing ranks )  of all NITs , IIITs for previous year on Official JOSAA website : https://josaa.nic.in/Result/Result/currentorcr.aspx

So basically to secure CSE seat at top NITs  one should have a rank ranking between (for general category) under 5000.

Check this -

https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/jee-main-marks-vs-percentile

According to this above analysis one should have score of 170+ in JEE mains to get a rank under 5000.

For IIITs score would be low, but still a score of 130+ would help for CSE .

So accordingly  you can check for all the institutes  CSE branch  cutoffs , and marks/percentile to achieve that rank in above link.

Hope this helps.

Hi

With 94.64 percentile

Your ews rank will be around  7500

With your rank you have some chances in IIITs

For example,

In 6th round of josaa counselling 2020, 7916 ews  rank for ews category for gender neutral   got a seat in Electronics and Communication Engineering (4 Years, Bachelor of Technology) in Indian Institute of Information Technology Manipur

You can check the same at

https://josaa.nic.in/Result/Result/currentorcr.aspx

This has been predicted on the basis of past year data but  closing rank changes every year due to factors like number of students that appeared in the jee main, difficulty level of the paper for different shifts of jEE main etc so

To have a personalised report on your chances of getting a college you can go through our college predictor, it will give you complete list of colleges which you can get on the basis of the category you belong to,  your home state, your gender etc, the link for  jee main college predictor is provided below

Thankyou

Dear Ashish,

Let me answer this question that whether you will get any NIT or IIIT on 94.39 percentile in JEE Main or not being a general category student. So let us do some analysis below.

If we look at the percentile you have mentioned then we will find that your general rank will be somewhere around 57390 - 64515.

You can check your rank yourself by going through our rank predictor tool. I am attaching the link for it below.

https://engineering.careers360.com/jee-main-rank-predictor

You should note that the actual rank and predicted rank can vary as it depends on various factors.

Now as you have mentioned that your category is OBC then if we try to find out your OBC ran by doing some analysis on previous year Percentile vs OBC rank, then your category rank will be somewhere around 13000.

Now on this rank, let us see what are the options of NITs you are having during JOSAA round. Please have a look below.

  • NIT Jalandhar - Chemical
  • NIT Raipur - Chemical
  • NIT Agartala - Chemical
  • NIT Andhra Pradesh - Chemical

Now if we talk about IIITs then they offers majorly only three branches Computer Science, Information Technology and Electronics and Communication engineering. And for these three branches competition competition is very high so there is very low chances that you will get any seats in IIIT during JOSAA counseling. You can go for CSAB counseling and grab seat.

I will also suggest you give your best for the remaining attempts of JEE Main which will be held soon in this month(July). To go through the supplement designed by our experts to boost your JEE Main preparation. Below I am adding the link of it too.

https://learn.careers360.com/engineering/jee-main-preparation-material/

To know which colleges you can get on your rank along with the ones i have mentioned above, you can check our college predictor tool. Below I am attaching the link of it.

I hope this answer helps you.

All the very best!!

Dear Aspirant,

with this percentile CRL Rank would be : 148335 - 166750. According to this and previous year cutoff (closing ranks) there aren't  much chances of getting a seat in top IIITs and NITs.

Also you can check all previous year cutoffs on JOSAA website:

https://josaa.nic.in/Result/Result/currentorcr.aspx

Hello Aspirant,

Unfortunately not because according to the mentioned percentile your EWS rank is expected to be in the range of 20000-21000 and with such rank and category it is very difficult to get any of the good NITs/IIIT until you deserves Home state quota for any of the north-eastern states like Assam, Sikkim, Nagaland and likewise, because they generally have closing cut-off around 20000+ for Home state candidates.
