Dear Aspirant,

This is somewhat hard to foresee the percentile needed in JEE mains as shutting rank continues changing each year relying on different components like number of students that showed up in the test, sort of marks got by them, the difficulty level of the JEE main examination, number of seats accessible for the branch you need, and so on.

Indeed,

At the point when we go through the earlier year's pattern then, at that point, I might want you to realize that for getting confirmation in the top nits through Sc category candidates ought to at least 85 percentile. Scoring over 85 percentile will land you in a safe zone. For the SC class, there are very nearly 2993 seats are saved altogether for all branches. It is exceptionally hard to foresee the minimum marks since cut-off shifts each year relying upon the toughness level of the examination.

Hello Aspirant,

Unfortunately you will not be eligible for either JEE-Main or JEE-Advance because you have mentioned that you are 12th pass out of 2018 and as per the guidelines for JEE-Main, any candidate is eligible to appear for JEE-Main only for three consecutive years which includes the passing year of class 12th and if the candidate does not appear in any of the year then also he will not be allowed to sit further. So if you have passed your class 12th in 2018 then you were only eligible for JEE-Main 2018, 2019 and 2020 according to the current guidelines.

So now you cannot get admission to NITSs/IIITs/IITs through either JEE-Main or JEE-Advance but if you want to pursue B.Tech then you can go for some private colleges which have their own entrance test as well so you can appear for them, or most of the private institutions take direct admission as well on he basis of class 12th merit, so you can check it out also on the official website of the colleges.

All the best.

Hi

This is a bit difficult to predict the marks/percentile/rank required in JEE mains as closing rank keeps changing every year  depending upon various factors like  number of students that appeared in the exam, kind of marks obtained by them , toughness level of the jee main examination , number of seats available for the branch you want etc.

But yes,

When we go through previous year trend then ,

Closing rank for some of the IIITs for which closing rank goes low are listed below along with their closing rank in the 6th round of josaa counselling 2020 for obc category  :-

  • Indian Institute of Information Technology, Agartala,  Computer Science and Engineering  :- 14775 obc rank

  • Indian Institute of Information Technology Bhopal, Information Technology:- 14417 obc rank

  • Indian Institute of Information Technology(IIIT) Dharwad, Electronics and Communication Engineering (4 Years, Bachelor of Technology):- 15280 obc rank

  • Indian Institute of Information Technology Bhagalpur, Mechatronics Engineering:- 16682  obc rank

You can verify the above at

https://josaa.nic.in/Result/Result/currentorcr.aspx

So, to get a seat in IIITs you should get target at least around 15,000 - 16,000 OBC rank to be on the safer side i. e  around at least 94.5 - 95 percentile .

Above prediction of is on the basis of past year data but  cut off/closing rank for colleges keeps changing every year depending upon many factors like number of students that appeared in the examination, difficulty level of the JEE main question paper for different shifts etc
