Hi,

There is no such restrictions like that. If you want to go for admission again being an IIT student into any other IIT or course of your choice, then surely you can appear for JEE Mains and JEE Advanced and appear for the JOSSA counselling. So, do not worry about it and if you want to appear, you can surely do that.

Hello Aspirant,

No there is no any kind of rule for it. So you can go for it if you are eligible. See if you have remaining number of attempts for JEE-Mains then you can surely go for it. But I don't think that there is a need to change from IIT to NIT because IITs are the most prestigious engineering institutions of India until and unless you are having any lower branch in some newer or lower IITs.

However you have to withdraw your admission from the IIT in which you are currently enrolled then only you will be allowed to take admission in NIT and suppose if you do not get any NIT through JEE-Main score in upcoming year then this IIT will work as a back-up option.

For complete details about JEE-Main kindly check out the link given below :-

I hope this information helps you.

Good Luck!!

Hi candidate,

IIIT stands for the Indian Institute of information Technology which provides admission into undergraduate courses on the basis of marks obtained in JEE Mains.

GFTI refers to government funded technical institutions present in the state which provides admission to the candidates specially belonging to the same state on the basis of home state quota and domicile reservation.

There is a chance that you get a good stream in both of these colleges but you have to look for the better ranking and placement percentage of your stream before taking the final call for Admission.

Hope that this answer helps you.

Hi Candidate,

IIIT is a group of Institutions which are known as the Indian Institute of Information Technology and are a chain of government colleges just as the NITs and the IITs.

The Admission into these colleges depends on the JEE Mains Rank and different colleges have different Cut-offs for different streams like Computer Science, IT Engineering etc, and different categories such as OBC-NCL, SC, ST etc have different Cut-offs as compared to General Category.

Hope that this answer helps you.

Hello, The minimum mark you need to score will be around 55 and the closing rank is around 6000 in the category ranking. You can find the previous year cut off the various IIITs using this link https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/jee-main-cutoff-for-top-iiits#JEE-Main-2017-Cutoff-for-IIITs-SC-Category

Best wishes.

Hello aspirant.

According to the 2020 jee examination if an aspirant secures 80 percentile approximately gets a rank between 172000-173000. Hence for that rank, you may qualify Jee mains but getting a seat in NIT, IIIT is very tough. But you may get a seat in the state cota in your respected state college. You can predict your rank and colleges for your marks here.

Hello student

AP IIIT entrance exam is of total marks of100. In this  exam you have got 39 and you belong to Cap and bcd female category.

As in other cases without reservation at least 89 for general and OBC for 74 for the last year 2019.

As you belong to the reservation category your  cutoff marks may vary from last year because of the unavoidable situation created by cyclone Navir in Andhra Pradesh in the month of November when the exam was declared for this entrance examination. The result has been published 12th December 2020 as the examination was held on 5th December 2020 in stead of 22nd November 2020 for natural calamity.

To know more you have to click on the www . RGukt.in the official website of AP IIIT entrance exam.

Hope this will be helpful.

Dear student,

You have been given 3 chances of JEE Mains and 2 chances of JEE Advanced . JEE Mains is conducted twice a year. So, overall 6 chances are available. If you have have accepted a seat in some IIT, then there is no worry. You can again give JEE Mains the next year. But make sure that your chances are left. And you are talking to take IITB then it means you also have to give JEE Advance in the next yeat. So, also make sure of JEE Advance chances, whether they are left or not.

Hope this helps.
