Hi,
Following are the some facts about both institute:
NIT Patna :
Placement percentage: 60-70 %
Median Salary: 5.04 Lakh
IIIT Kancheepuram :
Highest Salary: 55 Lakh
Median salary: 7-8 Lakh
Apart from these stats , CSE is currently most sought after branch. The placement for CSE is way better than core branches. although IIIT would have higher fees than NIT . So if fees is not an issue then you should go for CSE in IIITs because it has better career opportunities than Mechanical in NIT Patna.
In order to know what other colleges you could get, you should use this tool: https://engineering.careers360.com/jee-main-college-predictor?utm_source=qna&utm_medium=jee_cp
I hope this will answer your query.
Thanks!!!!
Hey there
Mentioned below are the specific details for comparison between IIIT Kurnool and IIIT Bhagalpur:
IIIT Kurnool:
IIIT Bhagalpur
By above points it is quite difficult to tell which institute is more better.
Hi
Making prediction is difficult as cutoff depends upon various factors like :-
-----------) number of students/ candidates that appeared in the jee main exam,
-----------) number of available seats,
-----------) performance of different students in the examination,
-----------) the branch you want,
-----------) the category you belong etc.
-----------) your rank in jee main
But yes,
When we go through previous year trend then
>>>>>>>>> With 9.5k ews rank
You have low chances for cse and others branches as well in NITs & IIITs
You have chances in GFTIs
You have chances in following GFTIs which are listed below along with their closing rank in 6th round of josaa counselling 2020 under other state/ all india quota :-

Helllo aspirant,
According to your category rank, under All India seat you might NOT be able to get into majority of NIT or IIITs under Other State quota.....
However, you may have a good chance in Home State quota depending on the state....
If you belong from OBC, EWS, ST or SC or PwD category, then you might have a chance for some non core branches in the newer or lower NITs like biomedical engineering, mining, mettalurgy, etc.
You can predict all types of colleges according to your JEE MAINS rank, category and state through the following link....

Good Luck, Hope it helps!!
Hello Aspirant,
According to the category rank mentioned by you in the question you have very low or almost no chances of getting into any of the IITs until and unless you deserve Female quota because the closing OBC rank for IITs were around 4-5k for Other than female quota and you are very far from the figure so you can hardly get any IIT. And for IIITs and NITs we need your JEE-Main rank under OBC quota because admission to NITs and IIITs are made only on the basis of JEE-Main rank.
But don't get disappointed if you are not getting any IITs because if you have good rank in JEE-Main then you can get good NITs also and you can predict the colleges which you can get from JEE-Main by using JEE-Main College Predictor :-
https://engineering.careers360.com/jee-main-college-predictor?icn=QnA&ici=qna_answer
Even though you have very low chances but still to have a list of all those colleges which you can get based upon your JEE-Advance 2021 score you can use JEE-Advance College Predictor:-
https://engineering.careers360.com/jee-advanced-college-predictor?icn=QnA&ici=qna_answer
Note that the above prediction is made on the basis of previous year's cut-off and the cut-offs are bound to change every year depending upon various factors such as the number of candidates appearing in an examination, the number of candidates qualifying an examination, difficulty level of the paper, and so on.
You can check out previous year's cut-offs from the link given below :-
https://josaa.nic.in/Result/Result/currentorcr.aspx
Or you can also refer to the link given below for previous years JEE-Advanced cut-off for IITs :-
