The experience is good with my college

B.Tech Computer Science and Engineering - Batch of 2027-01-01

Academics

The curriculum is industry-oriented and follows the MAKAUT syllabus with regular updates in technical subjects. Most faculty members are knowledgeable, supportive, and encourage practical learning through labs, projects, and workshops. Attendance, assignments, quizzes, and continuous assessments are an important part of academics.

College Infra

The campus is clean, green, and well-maintained with a good academic environment. Classrooms are spacious and equipped with projectors for smart learning. Computer labs and department-specific laboratories are modern and adequate for practical work. The library has a good collection of books, journals, and digital resources for students. Wi-Fi is available in many parts of the campus, though connectivity may vary.

Campus Life

Top Notch

Placements

The placement opportunities are good for CSE, IT, AI/ML, and related branches, while core branches generally have fewer opportunities. Major recruiters include TCS, Cognizant, Infosys, Accenture, Wipro, Capgemini, LTIMindtree, IBM, and Persistent. The average package is around ₹4–6 LPA, with top offers being much higher for a small number of students.

Value For Money

Worth it.

B.Tech Information Technology - Batch of 2029-01-01

2.4

Academics

As all West Bengal students who are under MAKAUT, they all know this college starts their semester so late and completes it soon. As per our batch, the semester is completed within 2.5 months. Just imagine the pressure among students.

College Infra

I say college infrastructure is good and well-maintained, but they need to clear some trees that block our college view, and they also need to make more playgrounds and areas for students and make new hostels for freshers.

Campus Life

i say 4 stars because of events and students

Placements

as per our seniious we need to focus of skill devlopment beacuse placement is so less on our college I personally try to find outside placement of our collge, we inform staff about this issu but they only say we are trying.

Value For Money

It is not worth it.

Can be considered for BBA .

BBA - Batch of 2024-01-01

3.4

Academics

The BBA syllabus covers all the latest business trends, which is good . Most teachers are friendly and know their subjects well, through few just read from slides. The exams happen on time , but it feels too bookish sometimes.

College Infra

Our main campus Haringhata campus is huge and looks pretty modern. The classrooms are clean , and the library has most of the management books we need . However, the hostel seats are limited, and the lab computers can be slow sometimes.

Campus Life

Life here is decent but not very crazy. We do have annual tech fests and cultural events, which arefun. The green campus is nice to hang out with friends , but the connectivity to the main Kolkata city is a bit of a hassle.

Placements

Placements are strictly average for BBA . Companies like Wipro , TCS , and other banks do come, but the packages are mostly around 3-4 LPA . You really have to build extra skills on your own if you want to grab a high paying job offer.

Value For Money

Since it is a government university, the fees for BBA are quite affordable compared to other private colleges in Kolkata . You get decent facilities and a proper degree without burning a massive hole in your parent’s pocket.
