Hello Chaitanya, with 4500 rank and if you still havent got any seat through 1st round CSAB counselling, you might not get into NIT delhi, trichy. However you can still stay hopefull for other NITs like NIT jalandhar, NIT agartala, NIT silchar, NIT srinagar, etc.

Also feel free to use this college predictor to be assured of which college you might have a chance of getting into

Hello Aspirant!

The rank that you have mentioned above is not enough to get you an NIT. However, you are eligible for other colleges. To know which colleges you can get based on your JEE Mains rank and percentile, use the Careers360 JEE college predictor.

Dear Aspirant,

The fee structure of Delhi NIT is similar for both SC and those who have a family income less than 1 lac. I am providing you the link where you can see the detailed structure.

Hello ,

As your query is you have been alloted the seat at NIT Delhi in the first round of counselling procedure. I would like to tell you that in the end of 7th round of counselling yes even you can go for the choice upgradation.

Somehow, there are some cases when where after choice upgradation you may end of getting better seat then you have opted in earlier rounds of counselling . I would like to tell you that yes you can go but remember to keep your seat on flair option so that of these idea doesn't show with your expectations then at least you will have a seat left with you to go with .

Further, f you have any other query regarding the same you can let me know in the comment section below.

I hope your query is solved.

Thank you.

Hello Jatin,

I'll suggest you to choose DTU over NIT Delhi as DTU is among the premier engineering institutes of India while NIT Delhi is a new college.

Delhi Technological University have a well experienced faculty and also labs are well equipped with modern tools and gadgets.

For more details about DTU, click on the link given below:-

Hope this helps.

Good luck!!

Hello Aspirant!!

Sorry to inform u but you have to report at the opted reporting centre in the given time period otherwise they are very strict regarding this.

Thanks!!

Yes it is. But there are two necessary conditions required for the upgradation:

  1. There should be empty seats available in the respective branch.  So for example if you want to upgrade to CSE, there should be at least one empty seat in CSE branch at the end of first year, as in only that case they will allow the upgradation.
  2. Many students want to upgrade, priority will be given to the one with highest CGPA. So, your CGPA should be high enough.

So you can not be 100% sure of upgradation. But the possibility is there.

Best of Luck.

Dear Shashwat Gandhi,

The order is from best to the least best (top to bottom first one being the best of all)

1.) NIT trichy

2.) NIT surathkal

3.) NIT warangal

4.) MNIT jaipur

5.) NIT calicut

6.) NIT Nagpur

7.) NIT surat

8.) NIT Delhi

hope this solves your query.

Hello,

I suggest you to go for VNIT Nagpur as it is better than NIT Delhi in lot of areas. It also depends on the branch you are really interested in and as of competative exams you can prepare for them from anywhere and it is true that delhi has good coaching institutes regarding that matter but nagpur city is not far behind.Coming to the college alone NIT Nagpur is way better than NIT Delhi in almost every aspect like ranking by mhrd, the campus placements, fests, alumni. So I suggest you to weigh your options very carefully before taking a decision

Good luck!
