Hello Chaitanya, with 4500 rank and if you still havent got any seat through 1st round CSAB counselling, you might not get into NIT delhi, trichy. However you can still stay hopefull for other NITs like NIT jalandhar, NIT agartala, NIT silchar, NIT srinagar,etc.

Yes it is. But there are two necessary conditions required for the upgradation:

1. There should be empty seats available in the respective branch.  So for example if you want to upgrade to CSE, there should be at least one empty seat in CSE branch at the end of first year,
