Hello Sagar. NITs would be better than private colleges. But not all NITs. IT or CSE in CBIT, RNS, BNM would be better than IT or CSE in NIT Srinagar. Coming to placements college doesn't matter but the thing matters is your grip over the subject, knowledge and your skills.

The percentile of 58 in JEE mains present open rank of around 470k. With this thank you might not be able to get NIT even with SC category. however there are following colleges that you can get with your percentile:

• College Of Engineering And Management
• Netaji Subhash Chandra

As you may get nit Srinagar ( mettalergicul and materials engineering)in spot round ( there is chance only if you belong to home state ).

According to previous years ; you may get it if your rank is around 3 lakh .

Otherwise there is no chance

You take admission in CS Non NIT Srinagar and during study of first year you will get physics chemistry maths. Again you prepare well for next year JEE while continuing your college.
