Rajiv Gandhi National Fellowship for

SC/ST Candidates during XI Plan

SC/ ST candidates who have passed postgraduate examinations and is desirous to pursue  full-time research without JRF of UGC-NET or UGC-CSIR NET.

Student should be registered for Ph.D. / M.Phil. at the university within two years of receiving the award letter.

Dr. S. Radhakrishnan Post-Doctoral Fellowship (PDF) in Humanities and Social Sciences

Students below 35 years of age who have submitted their Ph.D. thesis or have completed a Ph.D.

(Age as of 1st July of the year of the award.) 

Fellowship: Rs. 18,000- Rs. 22,000 per month (With an annual increment of Rs. 1000.)

Bridging fellowship: Rs. 16,000 per month (For those who have submitted their Ph.D. thesis)

Contingency - Rs. 30,000/-

UGC Research Fellowships in Science for Meritorious Students

Candidates registered for Ph.D. in Science in Universities

with Potential for Excellence/Centres with Potential for Excellence/Centres of Advance

Studies and Department of Special Assistance recognised by UGC.

Maulana Azad National Fellowship for

Minority Students

The candidate should belong to one of the minority communities as stated under Section 2 (c) of the National Commission for Minorities Act, 1992.

Self-declared minority community certificate on a non-judicial stamp paper of rupees ten.

Admission in full-time M.Phil/Ph.D course in the University within two years of receiving the award letter.

Only two individuals from a family can avail of this fellowship

Annual income of the guardian should not exceed Rs. 4.5 lakhs

Income certificate issued by a designated authority.

Post-Doctoral Fellowship to

Women Candidates

Doctorate degree in relevant subject

Rs. 25,000 per month for 2 years (fixed)

UGC Scheme for Post-doctoral Fellowships

Candidates who have submitted their Ph.D. thesis or have finished their Ph.D.

Fellowship: Rs. 18,000- Rs. 22,000 per month (With an annual increment of Rs. 1000.)

Emeritus Fellowship

Quality of research and published work contributed by the teacher during his/her service career.

However, the scholarship is valid up to the age of 70 of an individual or for a period of two years from the award (Whichever is earlier).

Rs. 20,000 per month from UGC for two years.

A contingency grant of Rs. 50,000.
