Ajay Kumar Garg Engineering College boasts a sprawling 40-acre campus that is widely regarded as one of the best-maintained in the AKTU (Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University) circuit. The campus is designed with a blend of modern and Indo-German architectural influences, emphasizing a clean, green, and professional environment.
The academic culture at AKGEC is highly disciplined and rigorous, often described by students as "school-like" due to its strict focus on attendance and regular testing. The college is affiliated with AKTU (Lucknow), and it consistently produces university toppers and Chancellor’s Medal winners.
AKGEC is widely considered one of the top-performing private engineering colleges under AKTU, especially for Computer Science and IT branches. For the 2024–2025 cycle, the college maintained a strong placement rate of approximately 75% to 80% for eligible students, with some years reaching up to 94% across UG programs. Package Highlights: Highest Package: The college has recorded impressive off-campus peaks, with students securing offers as high as 55.5 LPA. On-campus, the highest packages typically range between 25 LPA and 30 LPA. Average Package: For the majority of students in CSE and IT, the average package hovers around 5.4 LPA to 5.6 LPA. Non-IT branches like Mechanical or Civil generally see lower averages, often between 3.5 LPA and 4.5 LPA.
AKGEC is widely considered one of the top private engineering colleges under AKTU, and for a student seeking a balanced ROI (Return on Investment), it offers a solid proposition. With an annual B.Tech fee ranging between ₹1.24 Lakh to ₹1.42 Lakh, the total four-year investment is relatively manageable compared to premier private universities. The "Value for Money" comes from its placement consistency. While the average package hovers around ₹4.5 – ₹5.5 LPA, the college provides excellent industrial exposure through its unique Centers of Excellence (like the Industrial Robotic Training Centre with Kuka Robotics). For a student in CSE or IT, the probability of placement is nearly 90%, making the academic cost justifiable. However, for core branches, the ROI can feel slower due to lower starting salaries in those sectors.
The campus life at AKGEC is best described as academically rigorous and highly disciplined, often prioritizing technical skill development over leisure. While the 40-acre campus is widely praised for its lush greenery and impressive Indo-German architecture, the daily atmosphere is more "nerdy" than "vibrant." Social Environment & Events: If you are looking for frequent cultural fests and celebrity nights, AKGEC may feel restrictive. The college is known for having minimal non-academic fests; most events are technical or departmental. Student life largely revolves around active technical societies (like the Footprints cultural society or various coding clubs) which provide a sense of community. Infrastructure & Facilities: The campus is well-maintained with high-tech labs and a massive central library. However, a common pain point is the lack of AC in classrooms, which can make Ghaziabad's summers quite difficult. There are multiple canteens, though students often mention that the variety of food is average. Strictness & Discipline: The college follows a strict 75% attendance policy, and falling below this can lead to being debarred from exams. For hostelers, especially girls, rules are stringent regarding outing timings (often restricted to 5:00 PM for first-years).
Mine exp was great, join societies of college to enjoy college life, study hard and get placed

Infrastructure generally praised: large, green campus (~40 acres), AC labs/classrooms, strong Wi‑Fi . No Fest, Campus life is shit Faculty & academics rated moderately: some are Good some are shit.. Placements vary by branch and batch: CSE/IT average packages range ~4–5 LPA, with top offers reaching 30–55 LPA . 70–80% placement rate overall NAAC: A++ grade; NBA-approved; affiliated to AKTU, Lucknow . National Rankings 2024–25: India Today: #77 (overall engineering) Outlook: #44 B.Tech Times Engineering: #149–155
Good placement cell: Especially for CSE/IT; strong recruiter presence and internship support . Well-maintained campus, disciplined environment, good connectivity (near metro) . Faculty experience: Generally supportive and qualified, although curriculum refresh needed at times .
Placement disparity: Non-CSE branches (like ECE, EEE, ME) see take-home packages of 4–7 LPA, lower than CSE . Variable placement outcomes: Reports indicate that placement help is hit-or-miss based on individual effort . Few cultural fests; student life could be more vibrant .
Great infrastructure & campus life Placement strong in CSE/IT; weaker in other branches Strong accreditation & ranking Campus life lacks vibrant fests and extracurriculars Good on-campus recruiter ties Academic rigor could improve; risk of rote-based assessments If you're targeting CSE/IT, value a well-maintained campus, AC labs, and structured support, AKGEC is a strong tier‑2‑plus option. It offers average packages of ₹4–5 LPA, with top offers touching ₹30–55 LPA, and around 75–80% placement. Just be ready to actively prep for placements and internships—self-driven effort matters significantly.
Few cultural fests; student life could be more vibrant . Assessment issues: Some concerns about academic rigor and dependence on rote learning, per past student experiences . Shit campus life........
College Infrastructure is good , it is build on basis of german architecture it has a very huge ground cricket and football separate. It also has two canteens and different buildings for each department.
Their academic is good their teachers are also knowledgeable in their respective subjects but as there syllabus are currenlty aligned with AKTU university due to which it doesn't match the pace of growing market.
In my season the job market was very poor but still various college of same calliber where getting good placements but out TNP was not calling good companies for hiring if i say truthfully the avg package for which companies came are 4 lpa .
If we consider value for money, it infrastructure is good , very disciplined as DG and many staff of college are retired military officials rest college campus is good there are various socities of cultural and technical both , you will get good exposure if you participate. But remember there is no AC as off now in classes.
For me as i was the kind of padaku kind the campus life was normal but if you are the joyous one then you can create good campus life and enjoy your campus , also you could make some campus diaries if you want
I dont recommed because at last the final goal is job and for my bat h the placement eas very bad , some students still gets some good placement but most of them was off campus ones.
Infrastructure of AKGEC is good it has a large campus area of 40 acre which full of greeny it's has old style buliding but advance level labs. it has a central library having huge capacity of students.
Teacher were strictly follow the university syllabus don't focus on skill. College have different society for social, cultural & skill development which helps you to enhances your overall personality.
Placement of college is not too good it's totally depend upon your skill & hard work college is only plateform which provide you placement- cell .Due it's attendance norms it is blacklisted by Amazon.
It's not value for money at this amount of fees. I will suggest you to go for any other college of NCR like Kiet ghaziabad.and JSS Noida.
Campus Life is totally depend on where you live if you are a hosteler. I have great experience of Campus life otherwise it's nothing.
Classrooms don't have ac since this college is located in NCR you will face alot of difficulty during summer session while attending the classes
It is very good and based on the German architecture and equipped with all the necessary equipment and all the necessary labs . It follows hygien protocol and calm environment in their surroundings...
Pursing Btech from artificial intelligence and machine learning it is a core branch.. The staff is well educated and standard of study is good. And about placement of you have skills then you get the placement..
They offers the placement cell which helps you out to get the jobs . If you have the skills in your field or the branch and cleared the exam you will definitely get the placement on campus otherwise not.
The cost of the btech per year is vary very year when I join it is between 1 lakh 16 thousand to 1 lakh 35 thousand rupees and for hostel fees it is 1 lakh 15 thousand for three seater and 1 lakh 25 thousand for single..
They offers you different clubs and societies in the college which provides you the exposure in your intrested field and provide NCC in the college which is free from every student present in the college.
Modern infrastructure encompasses computer labs with good equipment, big classrooms, and a large library. The campus has WI-Fi which helps MCA students easily find resources for their projects and research.
The MCA program is structured and primarily on hands-on learning and, quite naturally, programming skills. The instructors are highly knowledgeable and enlighten the students, besides all these things, like software development and data analytics.
Placement cell working for MCA students to bring TCS, Infosys, and Wipro to the college. Jobs usually pay around ₹4-6 LPA. Very strong focus on IT roles too. And their are coding clubs also which will help you gain practical hands on leanring
The MCA course comes with a fee but provides good facilities and job opportunities. The quality of education and resources offered seems to make it a wise choice for future software workers. Their are scholarship schemes also
The campus life is lively with many tech festivals, coding competitions, and cultural events. MCA students can also join coding clubs and meet friends from different backgrounds, making learning fun and unforgettable.
As I like here the ghmraphic designer and animation club which will give you a chance yo delve into learn additional skills
Good enought for studying environment besic class and canteen facility smartboard facility and lab have proper arrangement
College rule are discipline for study classes run properly time schedule is fix and teacher have enough experience overall college acadmics is better and acceptable.
College placment record are fare enough although the compny come for hireing offer less package
No AC in study rooms One year fee for MCA 118000
No fest only fresher and farewell party But ragging free college
My college is having a good space for the students, it has a nice looking campus. In the campus itself hostels are their for both boys and girls also mess is their. The infrastructure can be improved for sure but it is ok for now.
I would review the academic culture at my college to be more then average. And definitely opportunities are their for the seekers. Teachers are good in all the branches and also good knowledge is given to the students during the course.
Average placements records I would say because the dream company opportunities are less. Off course you can crack them off-campus. The average package for my branch last year was 7-8 lpa, but some students got really good package in IT sector.
Infrastructure of this college is very well maintained and developed. There are multiple workshops and physical laboratories for practical work. The library is also having lots of books with good designing layout at the canteen area.
Teachers are having lots of experience at this college in teaching in various domains. They give us practical learning along with theoretical learning so that students can be ready for industrial challenges.
College conduct mock interviews before the real once so that students can be prepared for questions that was asked and the real interviews. Also college provide opportunities for students appear for the interviews.
