Enriched in the year 2010, Allahabad College of Engineering and Management, better known as ACEM, is an affiliated college: that means it directly implies that it is located in Kaushambi, Uttar Pradesh, on a sprawling 15-acre campus fronting NH-2 Allahabad-Kanpur Highway. The programs under it have a diploma course, including multiple fields of engineering. ACEM offers a total of 6 diploma courses, all full-time programmes. The institute provides six main diploma courses. The main Diploma programmes include Civil Engineering, Mechanical Production Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, and Mechanical Automobile Engineering. Each of these programmes has three years of duration. This is further supplemented by lateral entry options where students get direct entry to the second year of the diploma programme. The maximum intake approved for all the courses taken as a unit indicates the capacity of the institute in grooming high counts of aspiring engineers per annum, amounting to 727.

The admission process at ACEM is largely based on the Uttar Pradesh Joint Entrance Examination (Polytechnic), commonly referred to as JEECUP. This is a standardised test and the most prominent admission route for an aspiring student to secure a place in the various Diploma programmes offered by the college. The institute follows all the dates prescribed by JEECUP; it takes its exam in the months of April or May usually.
