I totally understand your problem . And i have seen  many students facing  the same problem after 12th because there are many parents who do not allow their children to pursue the course they want to. But note that , whatever they want you to do , they will never have a bad intention behind. All they just want for you is something good. They can never wish something for you.

The reason for not letting you apply for hotel management might be that they do not believe that you can do this course. In this case , you need to give them a proof by showing your capability . There are many top hotel management institutes which have their entrance exams , so try clearing those exams and once you clear them , just show the results to your parents.

I am sure that they will not stop you from doing HM in that case.

It means you would have to get into the research field and into the pharmaceutical field.

it would require you to study a course at B.Pharm at the top colleges of the country like BITS and there are many more good colleges.

And then get a doctorate and continue research

Considering you are from the General category, as per the previous year cutoff trends, there is only one college you seem to have a chance in - RMK Engineering College, with a cutoff score of 34.000 for the OC candidates. However, cutoffs change every year, so there might be some other colleges as well which you might be eligible for. Keep a track of the cutoffs but also look for other institutes as well to keep your options open.
