Hi Zeeshan,
Your DCET rank is 7500 and the cutoffs for the colleges you applied to are below your rank, so that’s why you didn’t get a seat in the 1st round.
Yes, there is still a chance to get a seat in the 2nd round if the cutoff goes higher. Cutoffs may increase if some students don’t confirm their seats.
Also, yes, you can add or change colleges in the 3rd round during option entry. So, keep checking the official website and choose colleges with higher cutoffs than your rank for better chances.
Hope it helps!
Yes, you are eligible for the SNQ (Supernumerary Quota) seat at BIET College, Davanagere because your annual income is Rs 40,000, which is below the required limit of Rs 6 lakh.
The college keeps 5% extra seats in each course for students under SNQ quota. For example, in Computer Science, if there are 360 seats, around 18 of them are for SNQ students. These seats are given only to students with low income and good KCET ranks.
Your KCET rank is 28,560. Whether you get a seat under SNQ depends on how many students with better ranks than you also apply for SNQ. So, you have a fair chance, especially if you apply for branches with slightly lower demand.
Make sure you have your income certificate ready during the KCET counselling. If you choose your options wisely, there is a good chance you can get a seat under SNQ in BIET.
hi
If you're looking for the KCET 2025 cutoff for BIET Davanagere, the exact numbers will be released after the results and counselling rounds are completed. But to give you an idea, in KCET 2024, branches like Computer Science closed around rank 31,000, and newer courses like AI & ML or Data Science went up to 45,000–47,000 for general merit students. Courses like ECE and EEE had slightly higher cutoffs, around 44,000 to 77,000. These numbers give a rough idea of what you might expect for 2025, but it can change depending on the competition and seat availability.
hope this help you.
