Till 2018, bit sindri takes admission in undergraduate courses by a exam called jcece ( jharakhand combined entrance competitive examination).
Nearly top 1000 rankers of this examination were given admission in bit sindri.
Now, from 2019, bit sindri stop taking rankers from their exam and the admission was given on the basis of jee mains ranks.
But bit sindri doesn't participate in josaa counseling. A separate counselling is held by jcece board for giving admission in bit sindri.
So, this year if you want to take part in jceceb counseling then better you visit it's offical site.

Yes with CML rank of 557 you could get BIT Sindri as its considered a good rank. You may expect Mechanical, Computer Science, EE, etc

So, as you can see you can easily get production engineering, metallurgy, chemical engineering, civil engineering and mining engineering branch in BIT Sindri this year.

For admission in BIT SINDRI , you earlier had to appear for a separate exam conducted by JCECEB JHARKHAND , but now it is done on the basis of JEE MAINS score . Then you have to apply for the JCECEB counselling rounds for taking admission in the college. The exact cut off for 2020 cannot be predicted but looking at the previous years’ cut-offs, it was around 88 percentile for general category. But the cut-offs are different for different streams, so you can opt for it if you are really interested.

Firstly, congratulations for your amazing percentile in JEE Mains, it's not at all easy and I'm sure you did your best. Now, BIT sindri, being one of the best government colleges in Jharkhand , has a really high cutoff. As you didn't mention your home state , i can't talk about the home state quota and you haven't mentioned any category, so I'm assuming you are from general category. According to that, you don't have much chances of getting a seat in BIT sindri.

Branch -electrical engineering is one of the student of bit sindri .and I know about the counsilling critera in bit sindri.and ofcourse you will get a wonderful seat with 144 sc rank according to your own choice .like u can get cse and core branches a like electrical engineering and all other branch .so best of luck

But please sit for counsilling and give your best in it while making choices .there will be two round and you can upgrade easily on the bit sindri official site to continue for best branch .

BIT sindri is one of the renowned college. Admission is done through on the basis of JEE mains score. Cut-off changes every year. It depends upon a lot of factors, such as the exam pattern, the number of students appeared, the number of students qualified, whether you belong to any category or not. It varies from state to state.

Last year the cut-off was 92 percentile for bit sindri in 2019, if you belong to general quota and if you want core subjects you need to score around 95 percent. Last year for 92 percentile the rank was in the range of 81000. For sc and st category you need to score atleast 85 percentile to get good branches.

At 86.45 percentile and secondly since you have the OBC-NCL Advantage, I believe you might just be able to secure a seat in either of Mining, Metallurgical, Civil or Chemical Engineering a BIT Sindri. Of the above 4, Mining and Metallurgical branches have  comparatively better career prospects at the institute, since Sindri being located in a Mineral Rich Region, with huge conglomerates like Coal India , Tata Steel and Vedanta operating their Mines and Plants from Jharkhand and Odisha. To get into BIT Sindri will be a tough task as to get into BIT Sindri the minimum required percentile is 92 a cording to previous year cutoff trends.Hence such a big gap cannot be filled and so you should now focus on getting admitted to some descent private engineering college like SRM,DIT(Pimpri),MIT WPU, Bennett University,etc.So I wish you the best of luck.
