Yes you can apply for Bit Sindri College for BTech Lateral through diploma qualification.  Lateral entry for diploma holders in engineering and technology is made in the 3rd semester through competitive examination conducted separately for them. The number of seats through lateral entry in all branches are 10% of the normal seats.

Birsa Institute of Technology Sindri offers over 20 specializations across three courses: B.Tech, M.Tech and PhD. Students can apply both online and offline.The application form for B.Tech is typically available in April, while registrations for M.Tech usually take place from September to October.

• For selection to the B.Tech course, the candidate has to take the JCECE , followed by counselling.

On a whole, the college requires the candidate to score as less 1100 rank. There are different streams to which the student can apply according to the marks obtained. The ranks ranging from 200 to 1100 are accepted for various streams.

To obtain seat in mostly chosen streams like CS or ECE, score of 200 to 300 rank is required.

BIT, Sindri does not accept JEE Main score the admission is done based on merit in Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination (JCECE) conducted by JCECE Board. Candidate must have passed 10+2 or its equivalent with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subject along with one of the Chemistry/Biotechnology / Biology / Technical Vocational  with minimum 45% aggregate and for reserved categories it is 40% aggregate from a recognized board.
