As per the previous year scenario you can not get mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, computer science and engineering in bit sindri.
But you are eligible for other branches and you may get it till round 2 .
So i mean to say that you can get
Civil engineering, mining engineering, metallurgical engineering, production engineering, chemical engineering,IT (Low chance),ece

You may get production engineering in bit sindri.
Normally the cutoff rank of production engineering lies within cml 1400 for a BC 1 Students.
So you may get it at 2nd round of counseling .
But getting other branches with this rank may not be possible for you.

You can surely get production engineering as normally its cutoff rank lies upto cml 1050 for general candidate.
So you can get production engineering with your category rank.
But getting metallurgical engineering here,you have 50-50 chance of it. Since metallurgy branch of bit sindri have high demand and normally its cutoff lies within cml 900 for a obc candidate.
But since this is the first time bit sindri is taking admission through jee mains so anything can happen.

Since you have secured a category rank of 287 and if you want admission in Civil,Electrical,Mechanical ..etc,your marks in the entrance should be around 80-85.
There are only 38 seats in CS and 40 seats in Information Technology.So with this rank i think you can get into some good branches of this college like Chemical,Electrical,Civil,Mechanical if you wait till the end of the counselling.
Because there are only 38 seats in computer science,so with this rank it's not easy to get CS/IT but i hope you may get the best branch possible.
So,wait till the end of the counselling.You may get something that you never expected.

Hey !
BIT , sindri is a very reputed college. To get admission in top branches of BIT , Sindri , your CML rank must be under 500 and for admission in non core branches a rank under 1k is needed.
Since your rank is more than this required rank , your chances are very less or negligible for BIT sindri.

Hey !
Considering the previous year cutoffs for BIT sindri , with your category rank , you have chances for almost every branch except CSE , mechanical and electronics.
So , to get admission in this college , you have to compromise with the branch.
But if you can not compromise with the brabch , then you need to compromise with the college like RVS , ramghad college of engineering etc

since the college is very old and has a great legacy, it has great infrastructure and all the buildings are in good condition, many hostel and college buildings are also being built which is great and distributes good audience
It's a recommendable college specially for core.
College Infrastructure
BIT Sindri has a sprawling campus spread over 400 acres in Dhanbad, Jharkhand, with well-structured academic buildings, laboratories, and workshops. The institute houses modern classrooms, a central library, computer centers, and research facilities. It provides separate hostels for boys and girls, sports grounds, and recreational amenities. The campus also has healthcare, banking, and postal services. Its green environment, along with robust technical infrastructure, creates a conducive atmosphere for learning and innovation.
It is a worth college but you have to score descent in JEE.
College Infrastructure
our college has of the best infrastructure in terms of state government colleges all across India, although it is 75 years old but renovation is being done in our college time to time and we assume that by end 2027 our college infrastructure will be equivalent or greater than NITs.
