Since you have secured a category rank of 287 and if you want admission in Civil,Electrical,Mechanical ..etc,your marks in the entrance should be around 80-85.
There are only 38 seats in CS and 40 seats in Information Technology.So with this rank i think you can get into some good branches of this college like Chemical,Electrical,Civil,Mechanical if you wait till the end of the counselling.
Because there are only 38 seats in computer science,so with this rank it's not easy to get CS/IT but i hope you may get the best branch possible.
So,wait till the end of the counselling.You may get something that you never expected.

Hey !
BIT , sindri is a very reputed college. To get admission in top branches of BIT , Sindri , your CML rank must be under 500 and for admission in non core branches a rank under 1k is needed.
Since your rank is more than this required rank , your chances are very less or negligible for BIT sindri.

Hey !
Considering the previous year cutoffs for BIT sindri , with your category rank , you have chances for almost every branch except CSE , mechanical and electronics.
So , to get admission in this college , you have to compromise with the branch.
But if you can not compromise with the brabch , then you need to compromise with the college like RVS , ramghad college of engineering etc

You can get bit sindri but you will have to compromise with the branches.
You can get chemical engineering, metallurgy, production engineering.
You have high chance of getting production engineering.
But getting mechanical and other core branches will not be possible with this rank.

You have not mentioned you cml rank but i guess it may be between 1350-1500.
Normally with this rank you can not get branches like
Cse,IT, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering,
ECE .
You have some chance of getting Production engineering till 2nd round of counseling as per the previous year scenario .
But since this is the first time bit sindri is taking admission through jee mains nothing can be said, if your luck favoured you may get other branches too.

First of all I am assuming you have mentioned JEE mains OBC rank. As the admission to BIT Sindri BTech degree program is solely based on JEE mains from this time. Last year I had some 6k OBC rank in JEE and 13 BC-1 rank in Jharkhand State Entrance, so you can imagine the difficulty and demand of the college. Thus if you have 333 in OBC Jee mains, almost all the branches are available for you in Bit sindri. Rest assured of any in-demand or traditional branch.
Now, I will be considering another possibility that your BC-1 rank is secured in the JCECE merit list, then I am sorry to say but your category rank is not very good to get you a seat in BIT Sindri. You might get a seat in some lower branch after some seats are cancelled/vacated which is a common thing as some students get NITs in later rounds. Thus you can still just hope for the best.

Your category rank is good but not enough to fetch mechanical engineering branch in bit sindri.
For BC 2 category rank students normally a cml rank of about 750 is stable.
But you can surely get other branches like mining engineering, metallurgical engineering, production engineering, chemical engineering in bit sindri.

You may get production engineering at last counseling if your luck favours you hardly.
But surely come to counseling since this is the first time bit sindri is taking admission through jee main and you may get some advantage of this.
Last year cml 1300 was the closing rank of production engineering for a general candidate so lets see whats happen.

It is a worth college but you have to score descent in JEE.
College Infrastructure
our college has of the best infrastructure in terms of state government colleges all across India, although it is 75 years old but renovation is being done in our college time to time and we assume that by end 2027 our college infrastructure will be equivalent or greater than NITs.
Overall its and good and value for money College

Quite pretty infrastructure . Our college has a neat and clean campus our campus has a very greenery in nature. Our college has so much facility like auditorium, lecture hall,play gound, seven lakes and they all are renovating and newly made.

My college is well structured. All the branches have well equipped laboratories. Classrooms are also well furnished and spacious. All the rooms are large and have all the necessary facilities like furnitures, electricity, smart classes,etc. all the academic buildings have wifi installed in them. Workshops are also very good and knowledgeable. The hostel rooms are also good but have space issues. The hostel rooms don't have wifi installed but you can install one on your own. The hostels have solar panels so electricity supply is 24/7. The mess food are very good and hygienic.
