As far as your rank is concerned it's a very dicy situation because as per the previous year trends the cut off was around 1-1.2L. BIT Sindri does not release the cut offs . The seats are alloted on the basis of the state ranking obtained in the jharkhand counselling on the basis of jee mains scores.

So, i would request you to kindly keep other colleges as a backup because it's a very neck to neck situation where you would get a seat or me. At maximum you would get production department in this college.

This college is an emerging college and the placements in core sector is strong here.

I would suggest you to go for B.I.T Mesra rather than to go for B.I.T Sindri...B.I.T Mesra is far better than B.I.T. Sindri.

BIT sindri takes admission on the basis of jee mains scores only and you need to apply for jceceb counselling . The application will be available in the official site.

Then after filling up your application form you will need to submit AIR details and accordingly they would be preparing state merit list in which you will get state ranking and accordingly you will be admitted to the specific branches.

BIT Sindri takes admission on the basis of state merit list prepared by the jharkhand council and according to the rank mentioned in the merit list , you will be alloted the branches.

But let me tell you it's not possible to get cse branch in bit sindri with this rank. The cut off is much higher. You can get here mining , civil , chemical engineering.

The cut off for cse branch is atleast 96+ percentile considering your obc category also.

Bit sindri is in a growing stage and it will definitely do wonders in future. The placements have been improving each year . The core placements is really improving in this college. All the major core giants like tata steel, vedanta, jindal steel visits the campus.

Moreover it is very cost friendly too. In around 2.5L all your b.tech degree will be done. That's the most beneficial point of this college. The non core placements are not that good what it should be like so for core you can blindly choose this college.

Not all of them that you mentioned have come to the campus of BIT Sindri. Only Tata Consulting Firm and Deloitte were there. Other companies that have come there for recruitment are Vedanta, Tata Steel, Hindustan Unilever Limited, Schlumberger, Multicoreware, Tata Steel Long Products.

Yes , a student from bit sindri has bagged a package of 28L from Google but it was off campus but the student had potential to join Google and so the company hired .

Honestly in bit sindri if you are from non core branch then it's better for you to approach for off campus companies because the non core placements here is weak as compared to the core placements.

For core engineering you can rely on the campus placements because all the major companies comes for placements.
