Yes there is reservation for obc category in cbit but only when you get a seat through ts eamcet counselling.If you get admission in cbit through management quota,b-category or through nri quota then, the college will not consider your category and there will not be any fee reimbursement if you are eligible for fee reimbursement.The fees for nri quota will be high and is about 5000 dollars

Usually placements for software courses like computer science, data science, information technology will be more as compared to other branches. But the placements are good even for hardware branches like ECE.

CSE AND IT will purely involve programming , coding and programming languages whereas ECE will involve programming and even hardware topics like control systems, communication and microwave engineering

It purely depends on your interest about which branch to take

Availing seat in state colleges through jee mains is called B-category.Your rank is good enough to get cbit or vasavi but i am not sure about the branch you can get.The b-category notification for both the colleges has been released.So please visit the official website of the college and select admissions.Read the admissions carefully and apply for the b-category seat before the deadline

Doing mechanical or EEE from NITs is definitely a good option as compared to doing CSE or IT from average colleges as you do get a good starting package.
Moreover doing mechanical and electrical have some advantages of their own too such as govt. Jobs or startups and etc .

Moreover if you perform well you can also apply for branch upgradation.
So do prefer NIT over any private college that you quoted.

Getting admission into state level colleges through jee mains is called B-category. For getting a seat in college through b-category, that college management will consider your common rank list (crl) and not your category rank. And it admissions through b-category seats are unpredictable and it depends on that respective college management.To get a good branch in cbit the maximum crl rank will range from 40000-60000.I would suggest you to take admission in cbit through TS eamcet because it is easy than jee mains and you have good chances to get a seat in good branch also.

The other way to get admission in these colleges is through nri quota, but for nri quota the fees is very high (5000 dollars)

Both the colleges are top colleges and the placements will also be good.It depends on two things,

1. If you give preference to branch then go for cse as it purely involves programming languages,coding
2. If you give prefernce to college, i suggest you to go for cbit as it stands first among other private engineering colleges.
3. Branch like ece deals with communication , control systems and things related to hardware and even some programming

The difference between cse and it is that there is difference only in 3 subjects, rest all the other course is the same.

When coming to placements, there are high chances of good placements in cse and it when compared to ece and even the salary package for cse and it will be good.If you maintain a cumulative gpa between 8.7 to 9.5 in all semester then you have high chances of getting a package greater than 7 lakhs to 12 lakhs per annum(or sometimes even more if you have good command)

Getting into a college through jee mains score or rank is called b-category. For b-category seats in top colleges like CBIT,vasavi and gokaraju you need to score a maximum of 60,000 rank for any branch in those colleges.The fees for b-category will be the same as convener quota but if you are eligible for any fee reimbursement under convener quota you will not be eligible for that.The other way you can get admission is through NRI quota which is based on your ipe score.The fees of nri quota will be very high (5000 dollars) which is nearly double of the actual tuition fee of the college.You can even try management quota which is like you will have to pay 7-10lakhs as a one time deposit for the admission in addition to college fee for 1st year.For the next three years of engineering, you will have to pay only your college tuition fee for management quota.

You don't have to pay tuition fee at the time of reporting if you get seat in CBIT but you have to pay the admission fee and other fee as per the college fee structure which you will be notified when you report at the college. As you have scored a rank below 10,000 you are eligible for full fee reimbursement.

Coming to the cut off, in 2019 the cut off was 12167 for BC-A category to get admission in Information Technology in CBIT. So with this you have good chances of getting seat. The cut off changes every year as it depends on factors like Number of students who have written the exam, Number of seats available, Difficulty level of the exam ETC. You can use the college predictor to predict the colleges that you can get.
