No institute is inherently better or worse than other. It simply has to suit your needs. In NIRF rank VIT Vellore is placed at 13th rank with all the IITs whereas NIT Warangal is placed at 28th position.

If we look from placement prospective then VIT Vellore has its 100% placement (it seems). But we don't know much about the placement structure of NIT Warangal. CSE from VIT Vellore will be better option , but NIT being a government college and we know the craze about government engineering college. So it totally depends on your choice whether you want to stay in Chennai or in Warangal. Both are good college.

Computer science branch includes mostly programming, Web development, App development, Algorithms, Data structure, etc.

Biotechnology Branch consists of Biology, Chemistry, Life sciences, Physics, Mathematics, etc.

Both the fields are unique and have their own advantages.

You should choose in which field you have more interest.

Both CBIT and NIT are NAAC accredited and are considered as good colleges.

According to reviews,

CBIT - Good teaching staff, Placements are about 60% with average package of 4LPA.

NIT - It is one of the top 4 NITs in India. 80% placement with average salary of 6LPA.

There are many facilities in this college like gym , hostels , wifi , cafeteria , medical/hospital , transport , parking facility , sports etc.. the surrounding of the college is also very good , all the courses in the college are good .

As, the courses you mentioned in your query are really different from each other, it highly depends on your interests. If you're a computer wizard, then you should pursue SCE at CBIT, Hyderabad. If you're interested in the studies of biology infused with technology, then you go for btech in biotech.

However, i'll give you some details about the colleges . nit warangal has a higher ranking if you compare it to CBIT. However, CBIT has a lower fees. nit warangal has a beautiful 238 acres campus which will give you a good college with good infrastructure. Median salary for CBIT - 3.6 and NIT - 9.01 for btech . I would recommend you NIT, warangal (only if you are really interested in biotechnology)

According to your rank, it is very difficult for you to get a seat in top colleges like cbit or vasavi through jee mains or b-category . You can try getting seat in those colleges through eamcet counselling or through management quota if you can afford it.It is better if you provide us your ts eamcet marks and ipe group score out of 600 so that we can  predict  in which college  you can get a seat.

A rank of 131000 in CRL is a bit low of a rank. It depends on the percentile. Due to the competition increasing by the minute everyday, the need for scoring higher marks and scores keep increasing more and more. Hence, unfortunately the top nits and IITs would be tough to get into with this score. Also other Centrally Funded Technical Institutes ( CFTIs) such as the IIITs also would be a bit tough. There might be some chances of you getting into newer NITs such as NIT Andhra Pradesh or NIT Pondicherry into courses that are relatively lesser in demand such as metallurgy.

There are some other universities into which you have a good chance of getting into. Hence I would suggest you to apply for other universities. CBIT is a good university. Computer Science Engineering is a course that is very much in demand and much sought after course and the chances are very low.  But due to the high competition it would be advisable to apply to other universities.
