Infrastructure is very modern. Faculty staff is pretty knowledgeable and highly enthusiastic. The college has many things in unique such as many responsibilities are in the hands of students which gives them a pretty decent exposure. The placements are very good here.

SIMSR is one of the best MBA colleges in Mumbai. It provides excellent placement and average package close to 10 lakh p.a. I will strongly suggest opting this college if you don't get any of the top IIMs. Lush green campus and huge infra make it only of its kind college in Mumbai.

SIMSR is a reputed college. Good efforts are taken to complete the syllabus. It's ranked among the top 30 management institutes in India. Most of our faculties have good corporate experience and many are PHDs. There are a lot many committees like Alcom, Pcom, Sports, Student Council, Technical Committee, Hostel Committee, Mess Committee which helps you learn managerial tricks. It is not easy to be a part of these committees. There is a good fight among students of various courses. Apart from this a lot of events keep happening in the college apart from the annual events Melange, icon, and Nostalgia. Placements are good . You will get the opportunity it is on you to maximize.Due to the huge pack of notable alumni’ in many reputed MNC’s these alumni’ visit the campus to take seminars frequently. Seminars are conducted on a variety of topics from marketing to ethics, and on an average, there are around 3 seminars every month. Attending these seminars is compulsory while liking it, or not depends solely on one’s interest. Students are informed well before the seminar.Hindustan Unilever has conducted a seminar on FMCG category of products, while Cinemax, Deloitte,Capgemini have conducted seminars at the college too. Sports lover will love the infrastructure. Canteen too is good and you have Maggie house which is the best. Fees is a bit too much especially for a hostel. Hostel mess is fine. Overall there is a good discipline.

I would strongly recommend K J Somaiya(SIMSR) if you are looking at all-round personal and professional development. Courses like Financial Services, Retail Management and Marketing Communications apart from Flagship PG Core and International Business has actually made the MBA environment competitive and enriching. Infra wise I would rate it best in Mumbai with facilities like Open Audi,Tennis,Squash,Basketball,Synthetic track and field, football ground with a lush green field. There are a lot many committees and student bodies like Alcom, Pcom, Sports, Student Council, Technical Committee, Hostel Committee, Mess Committee which helps you learn managerial tricks. It is not easy to be a part of these committees. The last couple of years has seen dramatic changes in Entrepreneurship culture in SIMSR, Placements(SIMSR gives other top B-schools run for the money in 2014-15), Quality of students etc. The diversity of students in SIMSR and Mumbai will teach you more than anyone ever will teach you. In Mumbai, you will only find it in SIMSR, a 400m synthetic track and a lush green football field where even 'Mumbai FC' trains ! Academic rigor is not enforced on you.You can choose to be studios with direct access to university libraries across the globe, numerous HBR cases and research opportunity with faculty. SIMSR is what you make out of it ! It gives you all that is required for an enriching MBA experience.
