Yes, Lateral entry is available in the Maharaj Vijayaram Gajapathi raj college of Engineering. MVGR college accepts Lateral entry through ECET or State level Entrance Test where they give direct entry to Second Year conducted by government of Andhra Pradesh. MVGR college vizianagaram, accepta both normal B.tech and B.tech lateral entry through state level entrance tests. For regular B.tech it is EAMCET where as For lateral entry students it is ECET. APECET is exclusively for those who want to join B.tech Lateral entry in institutions approved by AICTE. 

AP ECET , also called as Andhra Pradesh Engineering Common Entrance Test, is conducted by JNTUA , Jawaharlal Neheru Technological University Anantpur , on behalf of Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE). It is conducted for diploma holders of engineering technology or pharmacy or B.Sc Mathematics graduates. for admission through lateral entry to 2nd year of B>E / B.tech or B.Pharmacy students to the universities which is approved by Pharmacy council of India(PCI) or All India Council of Technical Education(AICTE). 

The application form is available only in online mode as well as the test is also conducted in online mode as computer based test (CBT).

The APECET will be held for 200 marks with 200 questions and the medium of language is ENGLISH. APECET is cheduled to be on april 19, 2019 this year. 

In order to seek lateral entry admission to the college through APECET, candidate must suffice the eligiblity criterias. they are - 

• Nationality - must be Indian citizen 
• Must belong to Andhra Pradesh state. 
• Must meet the local and non local qualifications prescribed by Andhra Pradesh state. 
• Candidate must have Diploma in engineerin technology or pharmacy by State Board of Technical Education of  Andhra Pradesh with minimum of 45% aggregate. 

Once you meet these eligiblity criteria , you will be able to take up AP ECET , through which you can apply for admission for B.tech lateral entry in  MVGR college. If you qualify with a good rank you have more likely chance to get into MVGR college. They take in students for lateral entry through APECET.

Yes definetly, as a matter of fact AP ECET is conducted by JNTU Ananthapur for diploma holders and B. Sc ( Mathematics ) graduates.

The exam provides admissions to B. E/ B. Tech/ B. Pharmacy courses.

The registrantion has already began and the last date to fill the form is on and before March 27, 2019.

You need to specify your caste and the interested branch too. 

If you belong to general category you have very few chances of getting in mvgr, again it all depends on your caste and the closing rank of the branch you are trying for.

Yes MVGR has lateral entry option and the eligibility is good rank in ECET or State Level Entrance Test (Direct admission to Second year) conducted by Government of Andhra Pradesh.
