College Infrastructure
The infrastructure of this college is under development. One should not expect much facilities here because the college was established in 2016 and the first batch has not passed out yet. The laboratories are not up to the mark as there are less number of instruments. However there is a central library which is pretty good. There are projectors in most of the classrooms. The thing one can appreciate here is the cleanliness, whether in the classrooms or in the hostels or in the canteen.
Academics
I am studying Machanical Engineering. There are only 5 faculties in our department including the HOD. There is no technical assistant in the workshops. The quality of teaching is not appreciable due to less number of faculties. However faculties from other colleges come here occasionally and take classes. Our university follows the latest curriculum of AICTE and I personally think that one can be job-ready only if he/she is sincere about it.
Placements
As I wrote earlier, the first batch has not passed out yet. There is no placement officer in our college. A few students from here secured off-campus placements. But most of those went to CSE and ECE. The highest salary package offered was 1.3 crore which went to CSE.
Value-for-money
Since it is a government college, the course cost is negligible as compared to the private ones. It requires Rs. 3000/- only per semester for Mechanical, Civil and Electrical Engineering departments and Rs. 6000/- only per semester for CSE and ECE.
Campus Life
Our college campus is completely ragging-free. The teachers and the seniors are very helpful and friendly. However there is no playground inside the campus. The college is located in a rural area. So there is a little bit difficulty to handle emergencies.
Anything Else
In spite of the college not being known to many people, at the end of the day it is a government college. That's why it is worth coming.

College Infrastructure
The college is established in 2016 , so the infrastructure is modern. There are two main academic buildings. There is a big mechanical workshop and also two departmental buildings under construction. The library is situated in third floor of 1st academic building. There are lots of small solar plates to give electricity in power cut.
Academics
I am the student of second batch of Electronics and Communication Engineering. Academics of our college is very good. Regular classes have been taken by faculties. The professors are very knowledgeable and supportive. Most of the professors are government employees.
Placements
Placement of our college is not good. As our college is new and situated in remote area so no company wants to visits our college. Although faculties are trying their best to start on campus placement. No permanent TPO is selected yet.
Value-for-money
The college is fully funded by state government so its a government engineering college. Fee of our college is very less in comparison of other engineering college in state. Fee for Mechanical, Civil and Electrical Branch is Rs. 3000 per semester and for ECE and CSE it is Rs. 6000 per semester.
Campus Life
Campus life is very bad in our college. The college is in remote area so you cant find any bank, ATM and good restaurant within 1 Km area. But you can enjoy the fresh air and green fields as the place is free from factories and City's pollution.
Anything Else
Overall its a good college with low fee and good academics. If you want study engineering in very low cost you can go for this college. Its a government college so you have to secure good rank in WBJEE to get admission in this college.

College Infrastructure
Established in 2016, College infrastructure is quite modern. There are two large academic buildings , Two Boys and two girls hostel and several workshops and departmental buildings. The library is located in the top floor of first academic building. It is good and have almost all the necessary books. There is separate small building for canteen. The food at canteen is average and also costly.
Academics
I am pursuing B.Tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering and my batch is of 2017-21. The quality of teaching are very good because most of the professors are well qualified. As its a government college so majority of the faculties are recruited through govt. exam so c they all are govt employees and also good in terms of knowledge. As its a new college so sometimes we face less faculty issue and some guest faculty take classes of some subjects.
Placements
The placements are very bad. At this time there is no permanent Training and placement cell and also no TPO. The first batch of our college will pass out in this year 2020. There are many who got placed off campus but there is zero on campus placements. As the college is situated in remote area so no company wants to visit there but are faculties are trying to their best to start on campus placements because all the students of our college is very good because the all got good ranks and WBJEE.
Value-for-money
Our college is the cheapest engineering college of West Bengal in terms of course fees. The course fee for ECE and CSE is only Rs. 6000 per semester and for EE,CE,ME it is Rs. 3000 per semester. There is also Rs. 1200 exam fee for each semester. This college is no doubt a value for money college because it is fully funded by state government.
Campus Life
Campus life is average. Every year sports is organized in our college. Since its established there is only once we had organized a fest. Our college is situated in remote area so you cant find any ATM and bank within 1 km area. You have to walk more than 1 km to find hospital, banks and ATMs.
Anything Else
At last if someone who wants to do engineering from government college and also in low budget you should definitely go for this college if you are smart enough to get placed off campus.

This college was established in 2016. So, being a relatively new government institution, it sure does have a radiant future. The faculties are truely knowledgeable person. The college is located in a rural area but the aerial view and surrounding natural beauty is stunning. It has ample scope for improvement. Overall, great experience.

I took admission in 2017. i'm a student of Civil dept. The faculties in the college are truly knowledgeable persons. They're very friendly too. Peaceful college environment. Wifi is also available in the college campuss. The library has little collection of books though, with time it is enriching itself with quality books.

It is absolutely new college estd. in the year 2016 from the board MAKAUT in West Bengal. New college, new life, moreover hostel life, no tenson of ragging ... I'm very much excited.Respected Teachers are also very caring and friendly. Being the first batch, I feel that we are the pioneers of this college and will create a benchmark in the history of our college as well as of the history of civil engineers. I'm very proud to be a part of our Purulia Government Engineering College.
