Sir MVIT Facilities

Sir M Visvesvaraya Institute of Technology provides ample facilities for the students, staff and faculty members. Sir MVIT Bangalore facilities include boys hostel, girls hostel, library, sports, gym, cafeteria, medical clinic, auditorium, wi-fi, IT infrastructure, laboratories and bank. Sir M Visvesvaraya Institute of Technology hostel facilities are offered for both boys and girls students. The hostels are well-furnished and well-ventilated.

Sir M Visvesvaraya Institute of Technology facilities are library that has a large collection of both physical and online resources. Both indoor and outdoor sports are provided by Sir MVIT sports department. Hygienically prepared fresh meals are served in the college cafeteria. Other Sir MVIT facilities like medical clinic, and bank are available on the campus. The college has an auditorium, used for organising events and seminars.

Boys Hostel
The hostels are very spacious and provide comfortable accommodation to the outstation students. Hostel rooms are available on a sharing basis and are equipped with basic furniture like cot, mattress, bedrolls, chair, table, etc. The security and discipline in the hostel is looked after by the hostel wardens. Mess facility is also available in the hostels, where both vegetarian and non-vegetarian food is served.
Girls Hostel
The college also provides hostel facilities for girls. Sir MVIT girls hostel facilities include well-furnished rooms, modern appliances, uninterrupted supply of water, electricity, etc. Hostel wardens look after the safety and security of the hostels. Both vegetarian and non-vegetarian meals are served in the hostel mess.
Medical/Hospital
The college has an on-campus medical clinic. The medical clinic provides free medical treatment to the students, college staff and faculty members.
Gym
The college provides gym facilities for both boys and girls students. The gym also has an instructor to guide the students.
Library
Sir MVIT library facilities include a large collection of textbooks, reference books, national and international journals, periodicals, newspapers, magazines, etc. The library also provides e-resources like e-books, e-journals, online databases and others through VTU Consortium, EBSCO, IEL online, PROQUEST, K-NIMBUS, ASCE and Springer. The college is also a member of DELNET (Developing Library Network), which provides inter-library loan, Indian Institute of Science –IISc Central Manufacturing Technology Institute –CMTI National Aerospace Laboratory –NAL British Library. The library is fully automated and uses LIBSOFT software. Books for competitive exams like GATE, GMAT, GRE, etc are also available.
Sports
The college provides facilities for both indoor and outdoor sports like chess, carrom, badminton, table tennis, kho kho, basketball, volleyball, cricket, football, athletics, etc. Separate fields are maintained especially for outdoor games.
I.T Infrastructure
The IT infrastructure of the college is well-maintained. The entire networking of the campus is controlled and managed by the college IT infrastructure.
Cafeteria
The college cafeteria serves multi cuisine food at reasonable prices. Both the students and staff members can enjoy the delicious meals during their free time in the college cafeteria.
Auditorium
Sir MVIT has a spacious auditorium. The auditorium is used for organising events and seminars.
Alumni Associations
The college has a good networking for alumni association.
Wifi
The entire campus is enabled with wi-fi. Students and faculty members can access the free internet facility at any time from anywhere inside the campus.
Laboratories
Sir MVIT has departmental laboratories. The laboratories have modern instruments and apparatus to help the students in the practicals.
Banks/ATMs
A branch of Kotak Mahindra Bank is located on the campus. 24X7 ATM facility is also available.
