UIT Burdwan Facilities

The University Institute of Technology Burdwan provides various types of facilities to the students and faculty members. University Institute of Technology Burdwan facilities include such as hostels, a library, computer lab, medical facilities and a well-organised system. UIT Burdwan is well equipped with all the facilities that are important for promoting a conducive learning environment.

In total, there are 4 hotels for boys and 1 for girls. UIT Burdwan hostel facilities include internet, indoor and outdoor games, cable television, and others. UIT Burdwan also has a computer centre consisting of 100 computers for students. The University Institute of Technology Burdwan also has sports facilities where students can play both indoor and outdoor games.

Boys Hostel
UIT Burdwan has four hostels for boys namely Banabas Hostel’, ‘Banabas Hostel (new), ‘Professor Satyendra Nath Bose Boys’ Hostel’ & ‘201 Seated (new) Boys’ Hostel. UIT Burdwan hostel facilities include Cable TV and indoor games facilities and internet facilities. All four hostels have common rooms. UIT Burdwan hostel rent is INR 600 per month. Students of UIT Burdwan can also avail bus transportation.
Girls Hostel
UIT Burdwan has a separate hostel for girls named ‘Madam Curie Hostel’. UIT Burdwan girls hostel facilities are available at nominal charges. The hostel has common rooms, cable television, internet facility etc.
Medical/Hospital
UIT Burdwan has a University Health Centre that provides students with 24/7 medical services. Aside from this, the service of well-qualified doctors is available round the clock through Burdwan Medical College & Hospital Students of UIT can avail. Students’ can avail medical facilities through universal membership.
Library
UIT Burdwan has a well-maintained library with a rich collection of books, journals and periodicals.
Sports
Students at UIT Burdwan are constantly encouraged to participate in sports activities. The institute offers sports facilities.
I.T Infrastructure
UIT Burdwan has a computer centre consisting of 100 computer with one server room. All labs are connected through a campus-wide network with a fibre optic backbone.

College Infrastructure

College infrastructure is not of very top notch. But we have all the things that are needed. The classrooms are fine. Though some instruments does not work, but the majority labs has a good infrastructure.

College Infrastructure

A 5 storey building with numerous classrooms and engineering labs. Greenery and trees and cleanliness is maintained all together. The labs are equipped with high level and precise instruments which helps in accurate readings.

College Infrastructure

Infrastructure is average, but due to the lockdown, there has been a lot of tree growth, but it has been cleared and looks good and green. Classrooms are average and the library is good, having accumulated 72000 units. Hostels are average and there is a mess in our hostel. Food quality is average.

University Institute of Technology, Shivpuri offers admission into B. Tech Computer Science Engineering branch based on JEE Mains exam. There are 60 seats for this course in this College.

College fees of B. Tech Computer Science Engineering branch for different Caste Categories is given below.

Scheduled Caste: Rs. 30,800
