Hello,
The public trasnport system in Mysore is exceptionally good.
Also Mysore being a small city, the frequency of public t5ransport biusses between any two places is very good especially to the VCOE,Mysore!
Also, both OLA and UBER services are availaible and in case of emergency you can book a cab or hire an autorikshway quite easily!

The college is located in Gokulam, a residential suburb, 6km (3.7mi) north of the city and 4km (2.5mi) from the city railway station.
You can. See the GATE cutoff is not specified for the college but GATE qualified candidates are given preference. The eligibility specifies that you can apply if you have qualified in GATE. So please apply as I think you should be able to get a seat. Please write to the college to know more.

College Infrastructure
The worst infrastructure, not good classrooms; they don't have good facilities in labs; restrictions on sitting anywhere; faculty are not very friendly and helpful in nature; they don't have wi-fi facilities on campus; there is only one canteen and it is very small.
Really good infrastructure and facilities to students.

A very big and high tech library, labs, big classrooms, coffee shops, sitting area etc are there. Hostel is overall good and spacious. Food is better than other hostels and hostel fees is decent. Clean hostels and a small shop inside the hostel as well as a hostel library is there.
Actual the college is good for placement.

The hostels are not that good. There is no proper infrastructure for the hostels, and they don't provide good food. The washrooms and rooms are not clean, and I’ve seen some of the worst washrooms ever. It is one of the worst hostel experiences in Bangalore, and there is also no proper water supply.
