Facilities are quite good and infrastructure of college is well maintained. Labs are maintained and contain all equipments. Classros contain AC in all the classes and desk and table are well maintained and comfortable. The canteen food is tasty and reasonable and even hygienic also. All medical facilities are also good.
I am doing electrical engineering from Delhi Technological University. Teachers and other members are very good and They are helpful , qualified and well Knowledgeable. They are always ready to support the students in every aspects. The favlculty members are good and very experienced. They provide good exposure to practical life and makes students ready for industry.
Almost all students get placements . Placements are good. The highest package is approximately 10-11 lacks . The average package is approximately 6-7 Lac. Many companies like Tommy Hilfiger, Amul India and many other comes to hire students. Also students get so many internship during their course to get experience.
It costs nearly 20000 per year. Yes I am obviously getting my money's worth. This investment will help me to get fruitful result in future.
DTU offers many great opportunities which help in social development with academic development. It has great campus with great flaura and fauna. Fest of DTU is considered as one of best fest . This events are majorly managed by students. So this helps students in gaining experience.
Infrastructure is quite great and we'll planned according to needs. Has all the necessary infrastructure as ground, labs, etc. Well maintained and excellent in condition. Talking about hygiene, that's again excellent. Overall the perfect University.
I'm electrical engineering student here and the professors are quit supportive and we'll behaved. Curriculum is updated time to time. Off course study makes everyone job ready here. So you should consider coming here once.
Being an electrical undergraduate of 2nd year, listened through seniors that placements are quit better than any other universities all over the country. If you have enough score to make it to DTU, then must go for it.
Nothing bad at campus, everything seems to be perfect, if you are a hosteler.
The college has huge campus, and good facilities for laboratories, classrooms, and sports. Also the college has a lot of places for conducting various meetings and student related activities. The campus has greenery and a wonderful place to stay.
Overall, the academics of the college is average. There are classes which will be interesting and fun, but at the same time, classes can be monotonous and impractical in the industry as well. The academics overall depends on the choicce of subjects and faculty.
Overall, the placements are quite good. All of the major tech companies appear for placement and college also hasa good placement record, expecially for branches related to computing. Some branches however do not have placement record as good as computing branches.
great infrastructure, well constructed buildings, well constructed libraries, great lawns, building is new as the campus is shifted from old (Delhi college of Engineering to here) in 2009 so overall campus is great
I am studying mathematics and computing here so our department professors are well educated, worked on various research work previously and have developed a course which is suitable for us to get a job.
That is the main part of the college, If you want the placement you will definitely get that here, also the college's alumni are around the glob which is very beneficial as the name of college is well know in various countries
Great Experience, campus culture is good, food quality in hostel is not good but it's good in campus, library and sports centres are amazing. Classrooms are big and have wifi facilities. Hostels are not up to the mark.
Curriculum is not updated, they do not teach new things. Teachers are not Experienced. For academics, this college is not so good. They do not provide any proper study material. Job skills topics are not given.
It has one of the best placement cell,. It has 100% placement record. More than 75% get placed permanent faculty. The companies come not only for placements but also fpr internships also. The average package was around 40 lacs per annum.
It is cheap comparing to other colleges. Also it has many scholarship available through which you can minimize it.
Campus Life in DTU is excellent. It has one the best campus life all over India as it surrounds itself with other best colleges. All kinds of activities are done here. Hostels are not so good and no cleaning of campus.
No ACs in Classrooms, even if there are, they dont work. The seats are too small and old. The classroom windows are broken. Really bad Infra. Hostel toilets are so unhygeneic. Please dont come here, go somewhere else.
Lol, no classes ever. Lol, no classes ever. Teachers are so careless, they are not concerned about classes. They cant even speak english correctly. Research papers are of really low quality so not a good college.
Not good, placement reports are not true at all. Over Hyped Package. You will struggle to get a job if you are from a core branch. if u get CS/IT/MCE/SE then its okay, dont come here for mechanical. dont.
For 8 Lakhs, it is fine.
Campus is good.
Go for NITs, instead of DTU. NSIT is better than this college.
Although DTU has nice infrastructure with good library and sports facilities. But however there are not much developed classes and labs. For e.g. digital features for smart classes are very limited, faulty & old equipments moreover ventilation is also not proper. But beyond this DTU has amazing library for studying and academic work.
In this the things which is lacking in every engineering colleges when compared to IITs. DTU certainly lacks the quality of study be built outstanding engineers. However, if you are a self-learner than I would recommend to be in DTU because of various academic activities and tech teams. These opportunities will provide lots of experience of real engineering.
Dtu has a good network of alumni and fairly good enough placement occurs every year. Generally, 50-60% get placed however most of the opportunity are in Non-technical fields. Core branches have hard luck here because of very less opportunities. But it is fair to say that overall placement in dtu is satisfactory.
Regarding fees, DTU charges fees comparable to private colleges. In my academic duration, fees was in the range of 1.5-2.25 lakhs per year. And taking about worth, certainly it will not meet your expectations.
Living spaces and food served in canteen is hygienic. Infrastructure is being upgraded it will take 2-3 years. Classrooms are well maintained and they are also undergoing further renovation.Sports centre and libraries are well maintained.Laboratories need further improvement, some appartus are malfunctioning and they need to be replacedwith new one.
I am pursuing graduation in mechanical engineering. Quality of teacher is not up to the mark, quality of teaching needs improvement.Curriculum for core branches are also need to be updated especially mechanical.
Placement in this college is one of the best in the country.Highest package was 1 crore CTC given to software engineering. Average package is between 6-7 LPA. College is supportive in placement session.
It costs me INR 1,50,000.
One can experience amazing and vast campus life. You can be part of clubs, tech teams, sports team etc.It is safe and emergency situations are handled swiftly.
DTU has one of the best infrastructure in India. It has sports complex, gym, lake, canteen, open air theatre and many more beautiful things. College laboratories has latest instruments to help undergraduate and research students. It has WiFi campus and Air conditioned rooms. One will definitely fall in love with it
DTU syllabus is well updated syllabus with modern subjects like AI ,ML and Astrophysics. Teachers are as awesome as the subjects. Few teachers are members of government bodies like DRDO and are on panel of many top bodies. Syllabus and teachers will make you ready in your life for Job as well living purpose.
DTU has best placements. Average package of Computer science is well above 15 lpa with top recruiters as google, microsoft, uber. Last year highest package offered was above 1 crore. Placements has variety as you can select companies from core, coding, consulting and marketing.
DTU doesn't have a fixed fee per year and it increases year wise. Currently fee is 2 lakh per year. But money is never a problem in DTU. It offers various types of merit and means basis scholarship which help students afford their studies. But this fees is worth giving as ROI on fee is great.
Campus life in DTU is best 4 years of live one can have. Though DTU doesn't offer hostels to Delhi students but one can find pg and apartment nearby easily. DTU has many societies and clubs. Its cultural fest is best with a crowd of 90000 people per year. Student and teachers community and association is very supportive and will always help you when in need.
If you have multiple options to select from, then try to go in this order. 1) Old IITs 2) DTU,NSUT,BITS pilani 3) Old NITs and then other colleges.
The infrastructure of DTU is quite average. Decent classrooms with Projectors and Audio Systems. Whole Campus is connected with uninterrupted LAN and WIFI connections. It has a huge library and an auditorium of 600 seater. Sports Facilities are also good. Almost all the necessary sport facilities are there. A new 3400 Seater Multipurpose hall is being constructed. Hostel Facilities are also quite good and is maintained well. It is well connected with wifi and Lan cables. Mess food is average.
Professors in our University is qualified and knowledgeable. The curriculum of DTU has been updated recently like the IITs. As their is not much academic pressure student can do extracurricular activities. Professors are available but you have to seek on your own. Research work is also doing great year by year. Online Mooc courses can be taken from 3rd year onwards
DTU has probably one of the best placement in entire North India. In top branches like CSE, IT 90% of students get placed whereas in core branches 70 - 80% students get placed . The top companies are Google, Goldman Sachs, Microsoft, Samsung etc. Average package is around 8 lac p.a whereas highest package is around 80 lac - 1.2 cr p.a and lowest package is around 3 lac p.a
College fee is quite reasonable around around 1.8 lac , so the value for money is quite good. Many scholarship are there economically backward students. Placement package are so good that the college fee would look like very small in compared
DTU has very good atmosphere. Seniors and Faculty members are friendly and many exta curricular activities are taken place in every corner of college. Being in Delhi gives it a plus point as many beautiful places are nearby the university. Hostel life would be a no miss thing in the university
My experience I would say i quite good. Made very goods friends and professors were quite generous and helpful. Campus is very beautiful and big. In the coming years it will be counted in the elite colleges of India
85% Seat Allocation for Delhi Candidates : DTU reserves 85% of its seats across programs, including B.Tech, BBA, and MBA, for candidates who have completed their qualifying education—such as Class 12 for undergraduate courses or a Bachelor’s degree for MBA—from a recognized institution located in Delhi. Given that your schooling is from Delhi, you fulfill this criterion and are eligible for the Delhi quota. This reservation policy prioritizes you over out-of-state candidates, who compete for the remaining 15% of seats, thereby enhancing your chances of securing admission.
Validity of Caste Certificate from Haryana : Your caste certificate from Haryana is valid for claiming reservation benefits at DTU, provided it is issued by a competent authority and adheres to the Government of India’s guidelines for categories such as OBC-NCL, SC, or ST. DTU, as a state university, accepts caste certificates from other states for reservation purposes, so your certificate should not pose any issue, assuming it aligns with the category you’ve applied under. For instance, if applying under OBC-NCL, the certificate must be recent (typically issued within the last year) and reflect your status on the Central OBC list. The 85% Delhi quota is determined solely by your schooling location, not the state of issuance of your caste certificate, so this aspect does not impact your eligibility for the quota.
MBA-Specific Eligibility at DTU : If you are applying for DTU’s MBA program, the eligibility criteria include a Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 60% marks (50% for SC/ST candidates). Admission typically requires a valid CAT score, followed by a counseling process or an interview. As a Delhi candidate, you fall under the 85% quota, and your caste certificate can be utilized to avail reservation benefits, potentially easing cutoff requirements or prioritizing your seat allocation.
Hello Aspirant,
If you are okay with any BTech branch and are open to a lot of other areas, then any branch at DTU is generally better than CSE at JSS. DTU (Delhi Technological University) has a good reputation, better campus, alumni network, and placement packages across branches, as well as internships and projects. Even if you don't get CSE at DTU, ECE, IT at DTU, or even mechanical can be good, and you would learn coding for example, or otherwise ease into this area through self-study coding platforms and internships.
If you are fully aware that you only want to do Computer Science and have a deep passion for programming from the start, then CSE at JSS can also be a decent option. However, overall DTU offers a better platform for your long-term career development and flexibility.
No, Delhi Technological University (DTU) does not use CUET for admissions to its B.Tech programs. DTU primarily relies on the JEE Main scores for B.Tech admissions, with the Joint Admission Counselling (JAC) Delhi handling the process. CUET is used for admissions to other UG programs offered by DTU, such as BBA, BA (Hons.) Economics, and B.Des.
Elaboration:
B.Tech Admissions:
DTU's B.Tech admissions are based on the scores obtained in the JEE Main entrance exam, which is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA).
JAC Delhi:
The Joint Admission Counselling (JAC) Delhi handles the counselling and seat allocation process for B.Tech programs at DTU, along with other participating institutions like Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology (NSIT), Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology-Delhi (IIIT-D), and Indira Gandhi Delhi Technical University for Women (IGDTUW).
CUET for Other Programs:
While JEE Main is the primary entrance for B.Tech, CUET is used for admission to other UG programs like BBA, BA (Hons.) Economics, and B.Des at DTU.
