Hello,
Considering 2020 rankings for Engineering colleges, IIIT Lucknow is not ranked. And talking about IIIT Gwalior and NIT Kurukshetra.
There are many factors which are considered during the ranking, but since you are getting CSE/IT in IIITM Gwalior which are the 2 most preferred branches, then its your choice, go through the subjects of all 3 branches, and decide whether you want to go with the "NIT" tag or with CSE/IT branch.
Hello Aspirant,
According to the category rank you have mentioned in the question you cannot get any of the NITs/IIITs/GFTIs as per previous year's cut-offs. So I would suggest you to take a drop if you can afford and prepare for JEE-Main 2021 and to help you with your preparation you can use some resources which are made by our experts, you can access them from the link given below :-

But yes if you cannot afford then I would recommend you to go for some private colleges like :-

Hello Student,
A rank of 127549 in CRL is a bit low of a rank. Due to the competition increasing by the minute everyday, the need for scoring higher marks and scores keep increasing more and more. Hence, unfortunately the top nits and IIITs would be tough to get into with this score. Also other Centrally Funded Technical Institutes ( CFTIs) such as the IITs also would be a bit tough.
However, since you have mentioned that you belong to the ews category, the chances of you getting into some some of these universities are a bit more. There are some other universities into which you have a good chance of getting into. Hence I would suggest you to apply for other universities. But due to the high competition it would be advisable to apply to other universities if you are focused on any specific department.
Some other good universities with this rank would be:
1. SSN College of Engineering, Chennai
2. SASTRA Deemed to be University, Thanjavur
3. Andhra University, Andhra Pradesh
4. Delhi University
5. Shiv Nadar University
6. VIT, Vellore
7. Manipal Institute of Technology

Hello Aspirant,
According to the category rank you have mentioned in the question you cannot get any of the good NITs as per previous year's cut-offs but yes you can get some lower NITs like NIT Goa, NIT Raipur, NIT Puducherry and likewise if you deserves Home state quota for them but if not then I would suggest you to sit for some state counselling because in some of the state government colleges you can get admission on such ranks.
Note that the cut-offs are bound to change every year depending upon various factors.

Hi aspirant,
When a candidate is allocated seat in JoSAA counselling then he/she has three options to choose from:
A candidate chooses float when he is satisfied with the allocated seat and accepts it but if a better seat is available of Higher preference in the subsequent round of Counselling then he/she will accept that. So if you select this float option then the seat will remain with you until you get a seat of higher preference order.
Hope it helps you.
hello jagan
as you are comparing colleges ,so don't just rely on a single view and research carefully before taking admissions .for this question ,i think i will chose doing btech from top NITs rather then a dual degree . i believe dual degree will help you more if you want to go into research field . after doing btech you have a lot new options than dual degree. also the placements is comparable between the two .even i think the placement is better in btech .so these are all my personal views and you should search more by yourselves
best wishes
Dear Aspirant,
With a 54 percentile score though you have cleared the the cutoff but though the cutoff is 39 percentile it does not imply that everyone who had cleared the cutoff will get a NIT or IIIT.It just shows that you have cleared the first stage of exam and you are been selected to get a second chance to improve your score. With a 54 percentile getting a NIT will be a very tough task but you can still get into a descent private engineering college. So best of luck.
