Highest placement in IIIT basar is 12 lpa while for IIIT kancheepuram  is 20 lpa. average package is 17.54 lpa and lower package is 10lpa.

so better option will be IIIT kancheepuram. to get admission into IIIT kancheepuram campus, your jee mains rank has to be below 5k to get any branch for sure.

if you want CSE or ECE or IT then your rank has to be below 1k.

As per your JEE Main category rank getting into IITs might not be possible for you but getting into NITs might just be possible, based on last year's Cutoff you can get into some lower NITs but you'll have to compromise with the branch since for CSE and IT the cutoff is higher. These are completely based on last year's Cutoff which tend to change every year. You should mostly try for your home state NIT since home state cut-off is lower.

Dear student,

As you are a general category student and have secured 300000 rank in jee mains , then sorry you will not get any nits or iiits. For getting a seat in nits or iiits from general category, your rank must be roughly under 30000. And for gftis atleast your general category rank must be under 60000.
So, there is no chance that you can get any gfti with this much general rank.

Better you should try at some other state colleges or private institutions like kalinga institute of industrial technology or cv raman global university as many low rankers can easily get admission in these private colleges.

With the rank, you wont get NIT or IIIT campus. you have to try for Government engineering college or university.

If you have reservation category then you can try for NIT campus but it hard to get IIIT campus even for non technical branch.

There will be good chance at government engineering college  located in your residential state and you can also apply for top branch using home state quota. you will get relaxation in cutoff in some extent.

With this rank, your percentile would be between 93.4-94.7, it is pretty good score. You have chance in decent engineering colleges. Although cut off varies every year as it depends upon the no of students appeared, qualified, difficulty level of exam and other factors predicting college is difficult. It is difficult to get seat in IIT college although you have chances in NIT colleges such as NIT Warangal, NIT Surathkal and NIT Jaipur.

You should keep trying in different colleges, also you can try for Josaa counselling.

Highest package offered 40lpa for MTech stream. average package offered is 10lpa.

for 5 years dual degree you will be allowed for placement in 2nd year of your MTech. You will get good opportunities as you will have specialization which will make you open for senior post with good salary.

IIIT performs well in placement every year and IT is a  leading branch.

Hi,

There are a total of 25 IIITs in India, five of which are listed as the Institutes of National Importance.

18 other IIITs are set up on the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model.

Suppose there are a 100 seats on average in each IIIT. Now as per government jurisdiction, 10% of the seats are reserved.

So, I guess around 250-300 seats are available for GEN-EWS for IIITs.

Hello student cut off vary every year on various factors like level of question in examination seats available and total nunumber of applicants in the entrance examination.

With 82.5 percentile your rank must be around 1,35,000 and with this rank its difficult to get admission in NIT's/IIIT in BC Category as we all know that seats are very limited and admission is directly based on merit rank.

sorry to say you that therw is no any fee waviour according to income slab it is only for the nits. iiits fees are much more higher than any nit and you also dont get any fee wavior on the basis of income slab. you will get some scholarships from government when they releases such scheme.
