Hello Aspirant,

See on such EWS rank any of the NITs or IIITs are bit difficult because the closing rank for ITs/IIITs were around 8.5-9k, so you have very low chances for any of the NITs or IIITs but yes you can go for some GFTIs.

If we go through previous year's data of seat allotment On the basis of data mentioned in the question by you, you can go for the enlisted colleges :-

Gurukula Kangri Vishwavidyalaya, Haridwar - Electronics and Communication Engineering (10436)

Institute of Technology, Guru Ghasidas Vishwavidyalaya (A Central University), Bilaspur, (C.G.) - Electronics and Communication Engineering (10260)

National Institute of Foundry & Forge Technology, Hatia, Ranchi - Mechanical Engineering (10491)

Mizoram University, Aizawl - Electrical Engineering (10307)

And some more. You can check out previous year's cut-offs from the official website of JOSAA as given below :-

https://josaa.nic.in/Result/Result/currentorcr.aspx

Note that the above list is merely a prediction which has been made on the basis of latest cut-offs available on official website of either JOSAA or CSAB and the cut-offs are bound to change every year depending upon various factors such as the number of candidates appearing in an examination, the number of candidates qualifying an examination, difficulty level of the paper, and so on.

Hello dear aspirant,

Hope you’re doing well…

If you want to choose between IIIT, Sri city and IIITDM, kurnool, then please keep in mind the following points which are mentioned below-

Cut off- B.Tech Computer Engineering in Indian Institute of Information Technology Design and Manufacturing Kurnool has higher cutoff through JEE Main. And cut off for IIIT sri city is comparatively low.

Fees structure- B.Tech Computer Engineering in Indian Institute of Information Technology Design and Manufacturing Kurnool has lower fees as compared to IIIT, Sri city.

The fees for IIITDM , kurnool is around 5lakhs

Whereas for IIIT sri city is around 9.5lakhs.

Campus- the kurnool campus is huge, have hostels for both boys and girls, a cafeteria and everything. Where as there is no cafeteria in iiit sri city.

Placement of both are same, not much difference.

Hope this helps you decide

Please ask if you have any more questions.

I

All the best for your future!!

  • Placement opportunities

The preference order you should consider is:

  1. SVNIT ECE

Hello,

With your rank and category it is difficult to get into any national and government aided colleges through JoSAA. I would suggest you to look for other state wise engineering entrance exams and other state level counselling that consider JEE Mains score. Some good colleges I would recommend are:

  • Annamalai University
  • College of Engineering Guindy, Anna University
  • DTU - Delhi Technological University
  • University Institute of Engineering and Technology, PUSSG Regional Centre, Hoshiarpur
  • Dr. S.S. Bhatnagar University Institute of Chemical Engineering and Technology, Panjab University, Chandigarh

  • University Institute of Engineering and Technology, Panjab University, Chandigarh

Good Luck !

Dear aspirant

For admission to NITs, IIITs and CFTIs, candidates need to secure a minimum score in 12th exams. Usually, JEE Main exam requires a minimum of 75% for general category and 65% for reserved category (SC/ ST/ PWD) in 12th class examination.

This is only for checking eligibility of a candidate. This percentage is not considered for allotting any seat in the NITs and IIITs.

However, this year NTA has discarded the percentage criteria and only the 12th pass certificate is required for registration.

Do not worry, there would not be any problem for you if you wish to take admission in any of the NITs.

Good luck!
