It is now a deemed university which conducts itws own admission tests and counselling procedure.

As per your rank in ComedK 2019, you cannot get a seat in the CSE or IT branch of Dayanand Sagar Academy of Technology and Management, Bangalore. But you can get a seat in the Civil engineering branch in the respective institute. In case, you want to stick to CSE branch preference, I would suggest you to try for other college options as per your rank and as per that, I will provide you with the necessary information about that college. Actually it does not matter whether you are going VTU or Autonomous, you have to choose a college on the basis of the faculty and expertise available in the college and campus recruitment . There is not much difference in academics in both cases. My suggestion is to choose college on basis of expertise and experience of the available faculty.

First of all I do not know your branch to check about the VTU syllabus equivalent for GATE but can surely tell you that subjects that you are pursuing engineering do belong to GATE just the matter of some subjects in VTU or engineering which will not be there for GATE exam else you can compare it by checking GATE exam( of respective branch) syllabus, You might find it similar just subject names will be jumbled up.

You have to use the grading system as has been specified by your university. If they only last 4 semesters you need to do the same. Along with that, you need to provide a grading certificate issued by your university. These might seem quite unimportant now but it will be considered while getting GDPI calls or further admission. So kindly do not use any grading process that has not been specified by your college.
