Columbia Institute of Engineering and Technology was established by Jan Pragati Education Society. College offers various undergraduate programmes in engineering disciplines. College campus is located 4 km away from Chattisgarh state.
- College is affiliated to Chattisgarh Swami Vivekanand Technical University, Bhilai
- College is approved by AICTE, New Delhi
- College is ISO 9001:2000 certified

As far as Placement is conserned college is best at it, because there has been companies in my college which were ready to offer the jobs for 10Lacs-16Lacs Per Annum.
For placement I can give 9/10 .
