One thing I really like about GCET is its pleasant campus environment. The buildings are well maintained, classrooms are comfortable, and the labs have the necessary equipment for practical learning. The library is a great place to study, and the open spaces around the campus make it feel less crowded. Overall, the infrastructure helps students stay focused while also providing a good balance between academics and campus life.
GCET offers a decent, functional setup for engineering. The star highlights are definitely the massive central library and the high-end computer labs, which are packed with great systems. The classrooms are spacious and equipped with smart boards, though the lack of AC can get tough during summers. While the core academic facilities are solid, the campus ground is a bit small for sports, and the hostel mess food gets mixed reactions. It is a practical, no-nonsense learning environment.
The college infrastructure is decent and meets basic student needs. Classrooms, laboratories, and the library are functional, but some facilities need better maintenance and regular upgrades. The campus is clean and provides a comfortable environment, though there is still room for improvement.
Hello Dear Student,
General category candidates must score at least 45% marks in GCET to be considered qualified, while SC candidates need at least 40% . Merely qualifying does not guarantee admission; seats are allotted based on merit/rank.
With a JKCET 2025 rank of 550, you have a decent chance of getting a seat in Civil Engineering or Electrical Engineering at Government College of Engineering and Technology, Ganderbal, especially in later rounds of counselling.
Cutoffs for core branches like Civil and Electrical at GCET Ganderbal usually extend up
Dear Candidate,
Yes , you can still get admission in GCET Jammu even after the regular counselling is over , provided seats are left vacant . In such cases , the college or the conducting body ( JKBOPEE ) usually announces a spot or mop-up round to fill the remaining
