This IHM Bhubaneswar is one of the better-performing Institutes of Hotel Management in eastern India, known mainly for its discipline, structure, and practical exposure. Academically, it follows the standard NCHMCT curriculum, so the syllabus is not unique—but the execution matters, and IHM BBSR does a decent job there. Faculty quality is mixed: some teachers are genuinely experienced and industry-oriented, while others stick rigidly to textbooks and outdated teaching methods. You’ll need self-drive; spoon-feeding is minimal. Infrastructure is adequate but not luxurious—labs are functional, classrooms are fine, hostels are manageable, not premium. Facultys are good and experienced, although the practical labs are average , but the faculties try their best to teach us , they focus on discipline and they update us with what is going on the industry

Good, mostly placements are done in well known 5 starr hotels, there various types of options are available like if we want, we can go to government sector like irctc. Cruise options are also available

Since it is central government based college, the fees are affordable

Being a central government college, many 5 star hotels in India like Taj, Hyatt, Oberoi, Lila Palace, come for offering jobs. Not only India,we also get placements from hotels and associations abroad.

Being a central government college, price of academics per semester is comparatively low than other private colleges. Our college offers premium quality of education with lowest possible price. We definitely feel our money is worth investing.

According to the government guidelines nowadays,our college provides ragging free campus and also have a POSCH commitee to support students. Safety is strictly maintained in hostels as well as college campus. Our faculties and staff support are mostly very supportive and student friendly. Talking about daily life in campus, college indulged into varied co- curricular activities to freshen up our minds and bring up our hidden talents by conducting different programs.

Teacher's support is the most important factor we have in our college. Being only 5 months in this college and a lot more months to go, I feel indeed blessed to have our such understanding faculties,dear seniors and helpful staffs. I would recommend this college to flourish in your career and discover the best talent and skills in you.

Our EDC department or MSC building are too much good in comparison of infrastructure . Our campus has a decent infrastructure in comparison of another college of Bhubaneswar. And last our auditorium has best lighting and infrastructure.

Currently I am pursuing BSC in hotel and hospitality management. If we have to join hotel industry then this is the best course for entering in hospitality industry. Our IHM bhubaneswar faculties are too good and make this course too much easy for us.

First of all out college is goverment college, because of that reason the placement are too good. Many good hotels like TAJ, ITC came here. And the placement record of our college is very nice as compared with other colleges.

Yes, it is value for money because the main reason is that it is government college and the fees is very low as compared to another college. We are paying less fees with compare to another college. That makes it valuable.

Our hostel is pretty good. Like we have a decent room with 3 bed, table, cupboard. We have badminton court, volleyball ground, cricket ground. Our hostel also have gym facilities. Or cafeteria is also good.

The college infrastructure is top-notch! There are kitchens, training restaurants, housekeeping and front office labs, and many more. The college is solar-powered and is equipped with an EDC and a best in the class auditorium

Teachers are highly qualified and knowledgeable. Quite helpful to all the students. Our college has the biggest library of all the IHMs probably. It also comprises of e-Library. Also, practical knowledge of everything is a boon, be it kitchen, bar, or computer knowledge.

Placements were good till pre-pandemic. Like all good hotel chains like Accor, Taj, Leela was there but post-pandemic, the pandemic situation has made the scene a bit worse. Still, we are getting placements from Domino's, Reliance, Oberois, and other brands also.

5 stars for this point! Like really one of the most value for money course and place to live in. Be it staying in a hostel or the place Bhubaneswar itself, it's cheaper and good. The course value is much much lesser than private colleges charging hefty fees for the 3 or 4 years hospitality course.

The hostels are equipped with a gym, mess kitchen, volleyball court, table tennis and more for us. It's enjoyable out there with 3 different hostels for 3 different batches of students staying, it's a really good experience.

Overall rating? Let's say 4 out of 5. I love the place and the ambiance. That's what matters. Teachers are good and the head of the institution is a good leader. I love staying there and cooking and learning with everyone there. Mentionworthy, nearby hotels do give us in hand experiences by part time works!
