IHM Kurukshetra, an autonomous institution par excellence, offers courses specific to the hospitality field. The admission process of IHM Kurukshetra handpicks bright eligible candidates with utmost potential for its various programs. Admission remains meritocratic, building fair ground for every eligible candidate. It is the B.Sc. in Hospitality & Hotel Administration, the flagship program of IHM Kurukshetra, for which students are admitted through the NCHM JEE, conducted by the National Council for Hotel Management. The NCHM JEE notification and the process for the next academic year usually starts from mid-December and remains open till mid-February. 

Post the entrance examination, the eligible candidates who qualify for NCHM JEE are admitted through the counseling process, where 12th standard examination marks are given a cumulative weightage, before arriving at a final decision. For diploma courses, the candidates are admitted strictly on merit, following aggregate marks in graduation. This is applicable for the Diploma in Food Production, Diploma in Food and Beverage Service, and Diploma in Bakery and Confectionery. 

Application Process

The application process of IHM Kurukshetra tends to differ from program to program:

For B.Sc Hospitality and Hotel Administration

1. Register for NCHM JEE on the official website.
2. Fill out the application form and pay the required fee.
3. Appear for the NCHM JEE on the scheduled date.
4. Wait for the results and the counseling schedule.
5. Participate in the counseling process if qualified.
6. Submit the necessary documents, and pay the fees if selected.

For Diploma Programs:

1. Candidates should check the official website of IHM Kurukshetra for announcements regarding applications.
2. Download the application form, fill it out, and submit it online along with required documents.
3. Pay the application fee as specified by the institute.
4. Start waiting for the merit list based on graduation marks.
5. After receiving the merit list, the candidates have to complete the admission formalities in case they are selected.

B.Sc. Hospitality and Hotel Administration: Flagship Program 130 seats available. The admission process consists of:

Diploma in Food Production: 50 seats available. The admission procedure is:

1. On merit.
2. Evaluation of aggregate marks obtained in graduation. 

Diploma in Food and Beverage Service: 50 seats available. The admission procedure is:

1. Merit
2. Evaluation of cumulative graduation aggregate marks.

PG Diploma in Accommodation Operation and Management: 50 seats for this post-graduate program. Admission procedure not elaborated; will probably follow the similar merit of other diploma programs.

Diploma in Bakery and Confectionery: 40 seats available. The admission procedure:

1. On merit.
2. All aggregate marks secured in graduation will be evaluated.
