The Institute of Science and Technology (IST), Paschim Medinipur, is committed to providing students with a supportive and enriching environment. IST offers a variety of facilities that help enhance student life and make campus a comfortable place to learn and grow. IST features modern lecture halls, laboratories, libraries, and study spaces. IST has a common room that is equipped with indoor games like table tennis, carom, chess, etc. IST also provides medical and health services for students. The IST has a well-equipped library with a vast collection of books, journals, magazines, and other resources. It also has a laboratory with the latest equipment and tools for conducting experiments and research projects.

Boys Hostel
IST provides boarding facilities at reasonable charges for Management & Engineering students. Homely food – both vegetarian and non-vegetarian is served to the students as per their preference and choices. Delicious food is being served to cater to students from different regions. Breakfast, lunch, evening snacks and dinner are given at proper times with a menu that contains a balanced diet. The students have to be under the strict and continuous supervision of our Residential Wardens. Separate study rooms are provided for the hostel students.
Girls Hostel
For the benefit of outstation students, IST provides boarding facilities at reasonable charges for Management & Engineering students. Medical/Hospital
The college has a health care center with a first and facility for the students. A 24X7 medical unit is available in the campus besides arrangements with hospitals located nearby.
Library
The Institute has a computerized central library with the objective of supporting academic and research programmes of the institute. The library is centrally placed and easily accessible. The library has a collection of over 30000 volumes on technical subjects, 90 technical journals (national and international) and other periodicals, magazines, and dailies (Regional-3, English-2). The major thrust areas of the library collection of materials on History, Culture Studies, and Religion. The library also possesses reports, pamphlets, articles, audio and video cassettes collected from sources within India. The Reference Section for English contains documents such as dictionaries and encyclopedias. There is also a separate textbook section housing books prescribed for specific courses provided by the Institute.
Sports
The college has sports facilities for all students.
I.T Infrastructure
The college has an excellent IT Infrastructure facility for the students.
Cafeteria
The college has a canteen facility for staff and students. A full-fledged canteen is provided to cater to the needs of the students. Veg and non-veg meals are available on payment of nominal charges. Varieties of snacks, soft drinks, coffee, and tea are made available at pocket-friendly ranges for the students during the short breaks of the class hour. All these food items are not only dainty but also ideal for health.

College Infrastructure

In college there are 3 playground, 1 pound which makes natural and charming environment to get fresh feelings. There are separate building for Technology, Management, Medical etc. College have well equipped library and laboratory.

what is the placement package for CSE, IT

Hello Aspirant,

Hope you are doing great. First of all, the placement package percent depend on the institution you choose. For CSE the average salary package offered is roughly 4-5 LPA, with the highest salary package offered being 28 LPA, the lowest salary package offered being 2.5 LPA. The majority of clients in top recruiting firms are IT firms like L&T, Google, Microsoft, TCL, etc.

For IT the Placements are typically held in various phases from December to May at various Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) throughout the country. The annual salary package for students at the top IITs typically ranges from INR 20 to 30 lakh, while it is between INR 10 and 20 lakh at other IITs.
