Rait is affiliated to mumbai university whereas symbiosis is an autonomous institute. The syllabus of mumbai university is shit and is its always in the news in bad light. Autonomous institutes have a syllabus which is way much better than that of mumbai university. The placements which I have seen for symbiosis is much better than rait. Moreover the hostel life in symbiosis will ensure that the students can become self sufficient and dont depend on their parents for small things.

Truth to be told, the placements of branches like biomedical engineering has always been low no matter if it's even IIT Kanpur.
