Since you didn't specify the course, i'll just do the general comparison for these two institutions. I think Thapar institute of technology is better than LNM institute of technology. As, the NIRF ranking of these two universities differ greatly. Thapar also has an A+ accreditation against LNM with an A grading. The campus and infrastructure is also better at Thapar.

If you want stability in life then go for mechanical engineering because there will be vast opportunities in corporate world as well as in government sector too.

But if you just wanted to earn and earn and don't want stability then you choose CS engineering. I am saying about this because after a time period of 10-15 years you will going to become useless for the corporate world because new technology will come and you can't cope up with new graduates and obviously your salary expectations will be higher than freshers.

As per your cutoff score and previous year cutoff, Bannari Amman Institute of Technology , Erode opening cutoff is 188.5 and closing cutoff is 178 for Electronics and Communication engineering in 1st round of counselling.

Bannari Amman Institute of Technology , Erode opening cutoff is 184 and closing cutoff is 167 for Electronics and Communication engineering in 2nd round of counselling. After that seats are full and no further counselling round held. So, you have less chances to get this college.

Talking about just the tuition fee for MS Ramaiah for comedk non- Karnataka students the fee is about 2,01,000 rupees for one year. It's same for all four years. There are some miscellaneous fees as well which would make it a total of 2,40,000 rupees. This doesn't include the hostel fee.

College Infrastructure

Some things were ok but some were not ok like hostel was not available there, facilites were good and equipment was also available there. Food provided in canteen was good. There were no living area. Wifi and smart boards works very well.
