The hostel facility is provided to both the boys and girls. The hostel fee is different for both boys and girls. The hostel fee for boys is 1,29,000/- per year. The hostel fee for girls 1,09,000/- per year. The hostel facilties are excellent. You can definitely fee the hostel as the 5 star hotel rather than a hostel environment. The hostels are fully Centrally Airconditioned. The hostel environment is good. The toilets are clean. You get Geaser for every bathroom. The hostels are given as single occupancy/ double occupancy or sharing room. You can choose which occupancy you need. There is a TV in each room. Yes,  you can take Lateral entry admission in MIT, Manipal institute of technology.

MIT allows lateral entry in all their B.Tech courses. Pass in 3 year Diploma granted by the Board of Technical Examination of a State Government, and get at least 45 % percentage in that. YOU can get admission on the basis of MET entrance exam of MIT.

100% course fee waiver for candidates who have secured a rank in top 100 in Manipal Entrance Test (MET).

Candidates securing a rank between 101 and 1000 in MET exam shall be offered scholarship based on the annual family income:

MIT is a very good college for placements . Many MNC companies visit this college and recruit the students . The college gives an intense training to the students before attending an interview . The conduct a training called EET where the students are trained in aptitude , Technical skills , communication skills by external and internal trainers . Ten days before the interview the students are called and given sessions and they practice through online tests . Group discussions and mock interview are conducted . To be eligible for the placements you need to get a good aggregate CGPA in your course and have good communication skills . Class 10 and 12th marks are very important as the major aspect the companies look for is a good score in your academics . Different companies require different percentage in your board marks .
